What product do you use when you straighten your hair?

Hi

I’ve just started to straighten my hair again after many years and its getting very dry/ damaged so I was wondering if there is anything I should apply pre/post straightening to protect my hair?

I already use hair masques but that doesnt seem to be enough….any suggestions?

wow, with all these testimonials I think I need to get on the Moroccan Oil bandwagon!
Usually I use Sunsilk’s Straightening Balm in towel-dried hair, and then spray on the ends of my hair some Tresemme heat protector spray. Love that Tresemme spray, it really helps and it’s better than a lot of more expensive brands I’ve tried, and it’s less than $10!

Do your research well before choosing which Moroccan argan oil you buy. I used pro-naturals.com/uk/news/how-tos – go to page 2 (obviously you can substitute “uk” with “au”) as a buying guide before I decided. I use it on wet hair after shampooing and only use a couple of drops in palm and work into the tips and shaft but not the scalp. This protects my hair against split ends and breakage as I use my styling iron most days.

Similar sort of damage but due to radiotherapy. Used an hair repair system – Pro Naturals, shampoo, conditioner, hair mask and leave in treatment Moroccan Argan Oil. I found reading & watching pro-naturals.com/news/how-tos helped me understand.

I have been straightening my hair for years now and have found to reduce damage you HAVE to make sure ALL the hair products you use have heat protective formulas in them. Always in my bathroom are KMS heat styling shampoo and conditioner, Fudge liquid erekt protective straightening spray and Redken protective smoother. As I buy them so often I always make sure I buy them off Fresh, which offers them for the lowest price and offers loyalty points to members (I was just recently upgraded to a 20% lifetime discount!!!!)

I apply tresemme’s heat protectant and then I straighten my hair. Once I’m done, I apply pro naturals moroccan argan oil. I love it because not only does it make my hair shine, it actually acts as protection against the heat (natural), humidity, dust andall other nature’s pollutants.

I use a light spritz of John Frieda 3 Day Straight, a little Moroccanoil on the ends and a heat protec spray. Seems to work pretty well on my curly hair. Doesn’t seem to kink as much after sleeping on it either
