Trying to find a copper hair dye!

I used to get my hair dyed a lovely copper colour at a salon, but it was so expensive so I started using home kits. It all went well until they discontinued my colour, and I’ve just let it fade and grow out.
Now I want to dye it copper again, but I can’t find any hair dye in that colour! Every brand seems to have a red-red, but I want that kind of orange-red. The ginger, carrot top, copper colour. Does anyone know of a brand that carries this colour? I like the look of “LOreal Feria mango intense copper” but they don’t sell it in Australia 🙁 Why do we always miss out?

If you ever have a hard time finding hair dye you can try importing them from another country.

Lush has some pretty intense coppers and reds available at their stores (i.e. henna dyes). They even promote it through their own staff who use them!

I realise this was a while ago. But there are copper reds and stuff in garnier brand at home dyes (I live in Australia also). Found this post whilst looking up brands in Australia that I could use to go copper red for the first time. Wish me luck. I hope you found one too

You can get it from any supermarket (e.g. woolworths). I used to use L’oreal 6.3 and that gave my hair a nice copper colour

    Hi Janeka,

Have you had a look at My Hairdresser colours. This is an Australian Brand I use these colours and love them!
They are far better quality and value for money than the supermarket.
They have some lovely coppers, and you can even mix your own colours and choose your own peroxide to make the perfect colour for you!
    Have a look http://www.myhdhair.com

Goodness, I didn’t realise that there were new posts! Thank you all 🙂
I have been using the Loreal preference copper intense mango for a while now. It’s so close to what I want, just a but too red instead of orange-copper. Why do dyes never look like the picture? Lol. I will have a look at the other two found by kristy91, thank you dear!

You can get professional colours at like hairhouse warehouse. Professional colours would be good otherwise u can do the Schwarzkopf live toner in copper I think

I bought the feria mango colour in woolworths nsw a couple of weeks ago (and in the Newcastle area). haven’t seen it in priceline etc yet- photo of the 3 new copper dyes I found there above

It’s a shame you can’t get the Loreal Feria in Australia. I have used Feria in the past and loved it.

it has just come back to Australia, I got it in woolworths a few weeks ago (see my post above with photo)
