Hi beauties!

I’m hoping for some recommendations on the best pink hair dyes?

Thanks!

Thanks everyone! I’m going to give special effects a go! I’ve tried Manic Panic and was really unimpressed with the staying power.
Sounds like dry shampoo will be a must in summer! Thanks!

I’ve used special effects for pink before, the colour holds for ages and even when they fade they don’t turn into a hideous colour. Manic panic has already been mentioned.
You can also get sparks and crazy colour but I haven’t had the best experiences with them (I have only used them on non-bleached hair though as I can no longer have bold colours)

If you want an in salon solution, Wella free lights and Instamatic Colour are absolutely brilliant and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

personally what I’d probably do if I was to dye my hair a bright colour now, would use a colour that goes well with my natural hair, bleach the ends only and have it like an ombre kinda look.
easier, less product needed for reapplication (save a bit of money), and not all the hair would be damaged from bleaching and easier to grow out 🙂

were you wanting bright or pastel?
you’ll need blonde or bleached hair for good results.
manic panic has a product you can mix with any of the shades to make it pastel.

special effects hair dye is really good!
I love cherry bomb, which is what I used when I had bright red hair a couple of years ago..
they have a few pinks as well.
I think you might have to buy online.

manic panic is a very popular brand as well and I’ve seen it stocked at price attack.

keep in mind, bright colours hair dyes like this, will need a lot of upkeep!

only wash with cold water and wash your hair as little as possible.
it sounds gross, but I was typically only washing my hair once a week! unless I got really sweaty or something like that.
I wasn’t using any hair products other than dry shampoo so at least there wasn’t any product build up.
dry shampoo was my friend 🙂 it was definitely the best way to avoid washing out the colour.

and I was re-dying my hair at least once a month.

so not exactly a cheap / easy thing to keep up, but it looks awesome so what do you do 😛
