Nothing fixes split ends except for regular trims. I get my hair trimmed regularly and I don’t have any split ends.

    Hi,

The best way to get rid of split ends to trim your hair. You need a good hot oil treatment at least once a week. You can use either coconut oil or castor oil. Even almond oil and olive oil are good for the hair. Avoid using harsh chemicals for your hair and do not blow dry your hair often.

Prevention is much more worth your time than trying to find the cure. I have such dry hair, and have definitely realised that there’s absolutely nothing you can do once your hairs have started splitting.

You can hydrate & make your hair look healthy- but once they’ve split the only thing you can do is trim all the damaged areas off.

    Here’s some tips:

    • Have a regular haircut (every 6 weeks or less if possible)
    • Use hair oils and treatments
    • Protect your hair from your own damage, such as: Roughly brushing you hair (be more careful), rolling around in your sleep (put your hair into a plait or bun etc), chlorine (simply try not to get your hair wet), hair dyes (go to a hairdresser who uses Olaplex/Cureplex etc, using less harsh dyes like semi or demi permanent dyes – or stop dyeing your hair all together like I did!)

Hope this was at least somewhat helpful! 🙂

Moroccan Oil and Coconut Oil are the best ways to do it at home. I’m not sure if a hairdresser might be able to do other treatments but these definitely are quick and work. As well as keeping your hair healthy and preventing split ends, it also makes your hair less dry and gives it more of a shine.

Just get a bit of coconut oil and lather it on the ends of your hair, where the split ends are, then wait a while and simply rinse off, it might not show straight away but it definitely makes your hair healthier 🙂

    Hope that helps xxx

Try buying Organic Coconut oil and putting it in your hair over might, It;s an amazing treatment. I use Moroccan oil daily, and using a hair treatment 2-3 times a week will help. And of course regular trims

Cut your hair! Seriously, getting a little trim will help heaps. You can do it yourself, or you can go to a hair dresser. Otherwise, I find it hard to keep split ends under control. A good hair oil (like the Morrocanoil one) is pretty good at healing split ends…but then again, I find it so much nicer to just get a trim.
