Shampoos and Conditioners for blondes

Hi,
I was wondering what blonde shampoos and conditioners BH members are using?
I’m currently using RPR Brighten my blonde shampoo and conditioner. I am also teaming it with Schwarzkopf extra care blonde toner.
I’m nearly out though and am looking for a change.

If there is another thread about this please direct me to it 🙂

Thanks.

Wanted to post in here an amazing tip I heard and read about for blondes…
Before using a purple or citrus shampoo for blondes grab some lemons and squeeze through roots of your wet hair.
Apparently this neutralises the pH of the scalp and hair.
    Then use a purple shampoo
Apparently balancing the pH locks the toner in and makes the shampoo tone hair better. And locks it in
    It really works!!

I use De Lorenzo Silver (it’s actually purple) shampoo for my blonde balayage. I generally wash my hair with pantene and then go over the balayage with the purple shampoo. It does wonders and I’ve never had any brassiness or orange. Being asian, I’m bound to have orange tones with lightened hair but the De Lorenzo does the trick for me. I follow with either my sunksilk or pantene conditioner (and sometimes a treatment after if I can be bothered).

I use this shampoo too it is fantastic. I have been everywhere from dark brown with blonde foils right up to completely platinum blonde and this shampoo kept it white (how I wanted it) with no yellow or orange undertones. It really picks up the blonde in your hair like a toner would. Makes you feel like you have been to the hairdressers

I had balyage and my hair dresser suggested alfaparf. The bottle has the tilt cap so it doest waste any product if dropped. I lather 2 times of the product and the second wash of blue shampoo you should leave it on for 2 to 3 minutes so it gets rid of any golden brassy tones. It doesnt leave my hair dry, it does help maintain my blondeness, the richer the blue/purple colour shampoo is the better the product and results for keeping your colour maintained.

Give the Avon silver radiance (I think that’s it) a try! I just bought the shampoo and conditioner for $10 through an Avon friend. It’s really nice and leaves my hair feeling and looking good. I’ve tried lots of different more expensive ones and the Avon one does a better job. Look it up on bh, there’s great reviews!

Yes I love that Movie Tone Hues spritzer for the hair too. Run out of it currently though.

I find the John Frieda for blondes products very good – they are purply in colour and help to keep the blonde looking fresh and clean.

‘Movie Tone Hues’ obviously the purple one for the blonde hair. You can’t get any better. It’s hard to come by, usually found in some price attacks (aus), but i’m sure you could find it online easily!
I use it 2 washes per week and I find my hair doesn’t fade as quickly or as drastically.

Since I’m asian, I have natural dark brown hair with a whole heap of red undertone (especially after dying my hair red a few times). I got bits of my hair bleached blonde a month or two ago and am very paranoid about it going brassy. I use Joico Color Endure Violet Shampoo after reading great reviews on makeupalley and I love it. I only use it once a week just to get rid of any gold/brassy tones. On the days I’m not using Joico, I use Redken all soft, which I quite like as well. It doesnt do much with toning but it does a pretty good job softening my damaged, frizzy hair.

Hello blonde beauties… my fave ATM is vitafive CPR Blonde Intensive Hair Treatment (used like a colour – must be brushed on and WATCHED so you don’t end up a shade of grey. If you’re not game to go the full intensity of this try the shampoo and conditioner in this range. If you were trying to rock the PLATINUM without the risk of going grey I also use Vegan Amplified Manic Panic (it’s a Semi-Permanent Hair color cream) in Virgin Snow White(TM) White Toner/Mixer – easy to use and because it is amplified LASTS FOREVER. Happy blonding! PS: Another trick… I now keep my hair quite short as high lift tint, and all these colour techniques can kill the hair!
