Olaplex, anyone used it?

got offered an Olaplex treatment for extra $70 on top of regular cut and colour but had no idea about it. Is it worth it? How long does it last? Hairdresser was pretty hard sell on it but don’t know if it is because it is so good or because they make profit?

    Bump!

I am considering olaplex. I have the darkest brown hair and the greys are becoming more evident these days. I haven’t coloured my hair in years (last home hair colour was 3 years ago and salon was like 5 years ago). This time I will probably go a shade darker because sun exposed has faded my natural colour to mousy brown.

I keep hearing how olaplex if good for bleaching/blonde hair. Can anyone tell me if olaplex is good for dark hair and for going darker?

I have just started this treatment. OMG. Why did I not get this done sooner? My hair looks and feels so much smoother. My hair looks less damaged and I am not loosing as much hair as I used to.

I’ve used Olaplex for over a year now and it’s revolutionised my blonde. SO so much healthier and less frizzy- definitely would recommend.

I have used this last time I went to have my hair bleached for an ombre affect.
My hair is in the best condition it has ever been in. I have been bleaching it for 12 months now and you would never know.
I use the at home treatment and leave in all day and was out of a night but i have also slept in it.
It can be used with any colouring treatment be sure to ask your hair dresser, well worth the extra money in my opinion.

I think I am well and truly on the Olaplex band wagon. I just bleached my hair for the first time in 14 years and afterwards my hair was healthier than going in. My hair dresser took before and after photos… it was pretty epic!

And it’s also great value because they send you home with treatment to use until your next visit. Apparently if you buy just that one it’s $50 on ebay! Yeesh. I’m currently sitting looking quite the sight with it on my hair… The bottle says 10 minutes but I’m under strict instructions to sleep in it! Better not miss my alarm to get up in the morning or else I’ll be going to uni with very interesting hair.

It’s great if you’re bleaching your hair at the salon because it will allow your stylist to push a bit lighter as she/he will be able to use olaplex to treat it afterwards 🙂 I recommend!

thanks for that, it helped actually because my hair isn’t blonde either it’s black so you are actually the third person that told me it is mostly for blondes

I’m currently using the take home treatment which I would say is pretty good. It gives me similar results as any good deep conditioning treatment can eg kerastase. As for the in-salon treatment I do like how my hair feels right now but it’s hard to say whether it has improved my hair long term (which it claims to do). Maybe if I decide to go lighter i will be able to tell the difference.

If your hair colour maintenance doesn’t require bleach (my situation) I don’t think it’s worth the money. But I’m glad I tried it so I have a safer option if I decide to go lighter.

That’s interesting how long does it last or too early in the process for you?
