I want to switch from my usual cheap nasty supermarket shampoo and conditioner to a much more moisture rich formula but can’t seem to figure out whether I want to try Redken or Joico? Joico seems to be a lot cheaper and I was looking at the K-Pak range but I’ve heard it’s only beneficial on hair lacking in protein?

I use both, mostly Redken all soft though. Redken is really good, makes my hair super soft and shiney. Joico K-pak was good too but didnt give my hair quite the same amount of moisture and “oomph”. Joico is cheaper but Redken is worth the extra dollars you spend!

I love Joico, but I might be biased. Their products are great and available at almost any hair salon. Gotta try their shampoo:http://www.joico.com .

LOL Michelle sounds like you are trying a sales pitch on us there darl, hehe ;) Joico might be even more popular if they considered becoming part of the BH community like Redken is :)

I used Redken All Soft once but it didn’t work as well as L’oreal Professional Absolute Repair (which I am using now). My hair was really damaged from bleaching it and dying it and L’oreal’s done wonders to my hair.
hope this helps!

Wow braids for seven years that is amazing darl, I bet it got really really long, how did you maintain the braids for that long, did you have to keep getting them redone or did you just look after them yourself??
Glad the products worked well for you, I have been thinking about that Redken Extreme Treatment, I am using the Redken Extreme Anti-Snap I am sure it would compliment it nicely :)
