Ionic Hairdryers

Hi beauties

Who uses an Ionic hairdryer, can you receommend one?

I am looking at a few: BABYLISS PRO THERMAL IONIC, Parlux 3500 BLACK Hair Dryer CERAMIC & IONIC and WAHL Ultra Power Hairdryer 3600.

Would anyone know – is there much difference between Inonic and Ionic and ceramic together? Is one better than the other?

Thanks 🙂 x

I use also VS Sassoon, has an attachment for straightening/brushing while drying hair out, and normal attachment for hair drying, with an “ionic” button. Well it does give a lot of volume to my hair and makes it smooth, no frizz but not flat like GHD iron, bouncy and “full”. I do use it rarely, but I like it if I’m in the rush

My hairdresser recommended I go for the Karmin’s Salon Series Ultralight Ionic hair dryer I made the right choice. My Ultralight weighs 362g what does your Parlux 3500 weigh for my future ref please?

Resurrecting this topic as I am looking into getting either the Parlux 3500 or 3800, any reviews? Although after reading through the VS Ionic Purple is now also on the list.

I’ve already posted in this thread, but I couldn’t be happier with my Parlux 3500. My old hairdresser used to use it in her salon too. I actually think it is better than the one my current hairdresser uses (not sure what that one is). Mine is purple. 🙂

    Thanks fellow beautie <3
I have found better reviews for the 3500 than the 3800 so you are swaying me towards the 3500 now.
And yes it makes it even better it comes in purple as it is my favourite colour 😉

My Parlux 3800 arrived yesterday and wow… I’m blown away hehe 😉
It certianly delivers – hair dried super fast, very straight and no fly aways – particularly through the top section. Super impressed and very happy with my purchase!!

I am using VS Sassoon’s Ionic hairdryer (Purple one) and its amazing, no more flyaways… 🙂

i am using this VS Sassoon one too 🙂 I don’t like to blowdry my hair if I can help it but when I do this one does a good job and leaves my hair really smooth and can make it straight too 🙂

yeh I am not using my straightner since I have started to use this hairdryer… 😉

Wow – no straighter that is awesome :))

Parlux 3500 and 3800, there’s compact versions and they have ceramic and ionic combined and are lightweight professional use blowdryers, we use these in the salon I work at. The reason why I don’t use dryers from the supermarket is because they aren’t heavy duty, chances of them not working after a while is very common as heavy duty hairdryers are meant for professional use, they last a lot longer.

Thank you! I have just purchased the Parlux 3800 very excited for it to arrive!!
