I need a new hair dyer

My current hair dryer is broken and is being held together with gaffer tape. However the tape is starting to melt, so I think it is time to bite the bullet and buy a new one! I have fine, thin hair that dries in no time but I struggle with volume . I’m either a) Looking to purchase a cheap (under $60) now or b) Limit the hair drying or air dry and wait until I go to the US in August where I will be happy to spend more if a brand/model works out a lot cheaper there. I hear good things about Parlux, are they worth the dollars? Any other suggestions?

If you want a perfect hair dryer that you should try once Revlon Silky Ionic Dryer (me Shine), Currently I’m using this and I’m sure it’s a perfect choice for everyone. You can buy this at just $39.95.

I was in the same boat as you a few months back – in need of a new hairdryer – check out this thread

I am so glad I listened to the people who said to go with the Parlux. Even my hairdresser owns one. They are sensational and you can really feel the quality of the make when you hold it. I bought mine from RY no issues whatsoever. They will match any cheaper advertised price too.

    Good luck!

If you want some good quality hair dryer under 50 dollar I recommend you some Remington models. If you want high quality professional/expensive hair dryers I recommend you Elchim, Rusk, BaByliss, Supersolano models.

I echo Rose & chicklet, Parlux is definitely worth it. I don’t think it really matters which model you get, as far as I’m aware they all work the same (or so my hairdresser told me – she uses them). I own a 3500 & it works just as well as the 3200 does. Dries my fine-but-lots-of-it hair fairly quickly.

The only qualm I have about them is it took me a little while to work out which tab button thingy was which – it’d be handy if they included that in the (very brief) instruction booklet. I’m not sure if the instructions are more detailed on the 3800 & 385 models, but that’s what I found with mine.

I am also on the lookout for a new one. This is great to know. Thanks ladies!

Okay you both have convinced me! Plus everyone seems to be raving about them in previous threads. My birthday is next weekend so I might treat myself.

I see Ry.com.au sell them abit cheaper; does anyone know if they are legit?

Parlux is definitely worth the money. I’ve had mine for about 6 years and it really makes a difference in terms of how quickly it dries my hair and the end result. A lot of hairdressers use them in their salons. I agree with Rose, I’d never go back to a cheap hair dryer, this is one of the best ‘beauty’ products I’ve bought.

You can’t go wrong with a Parlux. I love mine. Once you’ve used a quality hair dryer, you will never ever go back to an el cheapo.
