they are chalk for your hair to hide greys, they are found at your local Priceline 🙂

If I suddenly went silver all over I wouldn’t mind so much, it might actually be pretty cool, but just the little strands mixed into my dark hair just look wrong.

I have only ever coloured mine to cover the greys but I am lucky that I have blonde hair so its not as noticeable for me but I get foils in mine so that way there are different colours anyway and nobody notices the greys except my husband when the foils are ready to be redone. Apart from him nobody looks close enough to my hair fortunately for me.

I think really dyeing it is the only way though some vitamin supplements are meant to help like Paba which is a form of Vitamin B (though this may only be of benefit if you have PABA deficiency). I find that colour lock treaments are good for toning down any greys during dye jobs too.

this is exactly me, i pluck away but i have fine hair so i dont want to bring on early baldness, hehehe i have see the hair colour pens and they are such a great idea! but i just colour my hair i use MYHD products you can buy the tube of colour and developer and it is resealable so i can mix a little bit at a time to cover up my lil white/grey friends!

Sounds cool thanks for the link hachoo, I might need some of this in five years time 😉

That’s interesting hachoo, I wish, probably depends on the situation. I have super fine hair and find that some of the greys are a lot thicker and coarser, usually around my part, while others are still fine around my temples. The coarse ones get tweezered real fast.

I actually just coloured my hair is it was way overdue but like I said earlier with my cut I can disguise/hide the greys really well and you wouldn’t even know that they are there.

read this today and immediately thought, hmm I remember there’s a thread on bh asking how to stop grey hairs! Anyway here’s hoping it works whenever (and whatever) it comes out, but interesting nonetheless

Dr Bernard revealed at an international hair conference in Cairns last week he was working on a lotion that could restore greying hair to its natural colour, without the need for dyes, tints or harsh chemical treatments.
The final product, funded by cosmetics giant L’Oreal, is expected to hit the market within five years.

Love the streaks and foils ideas! Thanks beauties!! I think I’ll be doing the streaks thing one day. Lol Jatz! Yep, I’m in complete agreement with you – I think the blue rinse trend has had it’s day!

I read something today that belongs on this thread that I just loved (for when I need it one day!). The suggestion was that if you are going somewhere and have to touch up some greys in a hurry, that a brown mascara (or black – whatever suits) can be run over the grey hairs and this is a great temporary cover-up!

Foils and streaks aren’t so practical for us dark haired ladies, ends up costing too much. It’s much easier when you’re blonde as the greys just aren’t as obvious.
