Help to select hair curling tool

Hi !! I need help to select the ideal hair curling tool !! I m new to this and haven’t really used a straightener or curler , so please suggest me a good and easy to use brand to start with. I have seen my stylist use straightener to curl hair (so thats why thinking better to go with the straightener ) I have short to medium hair and its really thick.

I would only be using it for special occasions and since its my first one don’t want to end up spending on something which will spoil my hair 🙂 and something reasonable
Also please suggest a hair spray brand to retain curls

Thanks a ton !!!!!

Has anyone had any experience with the Instyler tulip?? I’d be really interested to hear you thoughts and feed-back. I’m a shocker at using my curling wand (VS) which is quite old now, and the rubber handle is perishing, so I’m looking for a replacement.

This is the one i currently have is – http://www.myhaircare.com.au/5_Piece_Clipless_Curler_Set_2872.html

But i did not purchase it from myhair.com.au. I like that it gives me the flexibility to do beyonce ringlets or beachy waves.

The proliss was a recommendation by Hair and Makekup by Nahren — she used it to create this look … https://www.facebook.com/224024417667890/photos/pb.224024417667890.-2207520000.1438486785./615003368569991/?type=1&theater

    Hope this helps.

Try the sydneysalonsupplies.com.au – I bought a set (proliss 5p curler) from here over 2 years ago and it had interchangeable wands and it came with free delivery and 1 year warranty. I love my wand and haven’t had any problems with it Their prices are normally a lot cheaper than instore and I think you get an extra 5% off discount with your first purchase.

The best deal currently available is the MUK curl stick 3. I’ve heard great things about this wand but haven’t personally used it. http://www.sydneysalonsupplies.com.au/products/electrical/curling-irons/stick/

I’ve got this style of wand in a different brand (proliss) and i love it! (unfortunately they don’t stock the brand I bought anymore)

They do have quite a few to choose from if anyone is looking for hair tools.

The guy who owns the online store (Anthony Nalder) is a celebrity hairstylist so it is a reputable online store.

    Hope this helps you Nams3010

I bought a Cloud 9 Micro Wand through Qantas using my frequent flyer points and oh my god!!!! The best tool I have used. I have bought so many different curling irons or machines and still can’t do curls using the GHD, but after using it last night (only got delivered yesterday), my hair is still curly.

VS Sassoon is good and I am using Total Style Multistyler 1 pack straightens, crimps and curls! This Total style is a versatile multi-styler with interchangeable attachments that will allow you to create 3 completely unique looks.

The second I will recommend you is VS Sassoon Total Curl 1 EA Create defined curls, soft curls, s-shaped waves and ringlets. Total Curl is the perfect tool to create loads of styles.

And the last is VS Sassoon Instant Heat Ceramic Curler which is used for creating curls and the brush sleeve attachment creates soft waves and body.

These 3 products are reasonable and if you want to get discount on it then I think you have to use voucher or coupon for it through AU coupon codes, because I am also using it. Hope this will helps you Nams3010. 🙂

I rarely heat style my hair. I’ve got a cheapie wet/dry hair straightener from Kmart. It serves me fine. Those who heat style everyday swear by ghd. The ghd eclipse won Best in Beauty 2014.
