Girl I hear you! I have HEAPS of hair – unfortunately that’s just in length, and it can look really thin unless I am taking good care of it.
Of course products make a big difference – I love the Garnier Volume shampoo and conditioner – they are very affordable, smell gorgeous and actually do make a difference. Herbal essences do a good range too, but with pretty much the same result for slightly more $$. And if you really want to treat and nurture your hair, the Body Shop’s Volume shampoo and conditioner is amazing, and a far more natural alternative.
I also find that the way I wear my hair makes a MASSIVE difference. For example, I always sleep with my hair in a topknot, twisted and loosely pinned on top of my head. That way, when I wake up, my hair roots have spent the night lifted up, and my hair has extra volume from being twisted. My hair is super long, so it weighs itself down after an hour but if yours is shorter, a quick spritz of sea salt spray, run your fingers through and you are good to go. This technique also gives great body to a high pony tail, or a loose bun at the nape of the neck. In fact, if you check out my profile pick – that was the result of sleeping with my hair pinned up. All I did was run my fingers through. 🙂
Hope this helps!
