Help! I need a new hairdryer :(

Help! My old but faithful Breville hairdryer has finally karked it and I’m in desperate need of a new one. I had a look in Myer and DJ’s today and to be perfectly honest, have no idea whatsoever about the features I should be looking for – ions, wattage, nozzles?! It’s just a bit mindboggling! I’m prepared to spend up to $100 for a good one. Can anyone recommend a particular brand/features and where to buy it? Thanks!!

My Salon Series Ultralight Professional Ionic hair dryer came up tops and worth every $. I read all the reviews and I’d like to share this one with you sugarsocialbeauty.com/karmin-salon-series-ultralight-professional-ionic-hairdryer/
As my hair is short I only need 8 minutes to style my hair using a brush but of course if I want tighter curls I would use my hair styling iron as well.

    PARLUX PARLUX PARLUX!

(Sorry to use caps, but they’re worth the price tag!)

Another vote for the Parlux. They are worth every cent. You won’t regret it.

I’ve just brought a parlux (well I used all my bb points and kicked in a bit of cash), and they really are awesome. Quite light to hold really and super quick drying.

Parlux is a great brand. The Parlux 385 is super light and powerful and comes in lots of funky colours. My mum just got the BaByliss Torino from Glamaco ($35+ph), which I tried last night. It doesn’t give as much heat power as the Parlux, but it left my hair de-frizzed and super shiny.

2 weeks later my Parlux arrived and I am loving it! My hair dried in no time and combined with a 20 minute styling session on GHD’s Eclipse I can now do “curls” and my hair is smooth and nice. YAY!! <3

I have a mini red hair dryer – VS Sassoon…. It has lasted me for over a year, and still going as strong as ever.. It is only about $20, and it is super strong, super light and super powerful. So much better than my mums breville! I higly recommend….

I use a Vidal Sassoon hair dryer and I’ve used it nearly every day for the past 10 years (at least). I’ve dropped it so many times and the handle is cracked and the cool shot button no longer works but it still dries my hair perfectly and it’s powerful. I think I only paid about $40-$50, the best $40-$50 I’ve ever spent, I wish everything I purchased had a life-span like this.

My VS one has lasted me about 4 – 5 years 🙂
