Help! Blonde Maintenance.

I’m wondering what are you recommendations for a shampoo and conditioner that tone and maintain blonde hair. I’ve tried a few products that really don’t help all that much. Any ‘cool’ blondes here that could point me in the direction of some effective brands?

I use Schwarzkopf Extra Care Blonde Toner, it’s like $7 from priceline (can’t find it many other places) I always use this and nothing else because I find the purple shampoo too drying on my hair and Ive tried alot of different salon brands. I have gone from dark brown to blonde a few times over the past couple of years, all done by myself with streaking cap and this is the one and only product that works for me, I use it in between shampoo & conditioner and eventually don’t have to use it every time I wash my hair. From this product I have been able to achieve the same clean blonde as the picture posted above by blackmagic – sorry Im at work and dont have pics to attach to show you.

i have white blonde hair and use lee stafford toning shampoo to keep it white, works really well and its pretty cheap. also any of the fudge products work really well but are more expensive, what i used to do is buy the fudge purple haze temporary hair color and mix a little of that with my normal conditioner and use that as a toner wenever my hair needed toning, it ends up being pretty cheap and also worked really well!

I recommend any blonde shampoo/conditioner by L’oreal. I have whiteish/silverish blonde and i use L’oreal Professional Shine Blonde Shampoo. I guess it could work for any blonde.
If you just want to try a toner, I highly recommend Schwarzkopf Igora Colour Enhancing Foam – It’s kind of the same as a toning conditioner. xx

Next time I got blonde I’ll be trying that foam as a toning conditioner, I did see that around and didn’t know if it was good for not and was worried about wasting my money. I’m getting sick of my brown hair now and want to go back to blonde! Just sick of getting blonde comments.

Here’s what the mousse looks like. It really helps to tone brassiness. It’s my fav toning product and I used to be platinum blonde so i still have the mousse in my cupboard.

This is not my hand lol! I got the pic from google.

Your hair looks great in that picture that’s the kind of blonde I’d like to have 🙂 I’ll definately go out and give the fudge product a go. I tried the fudge toning shampoo and that actually worked really well. I had no idea about this mousse ! Thankyou I’ll let you know how it went. x

Cool, give it a go. I still use it in sometimes on my brown hair because I like a cool brown effect rather than a warm brown, I hate brassiness in any way as it really doesn’t compliment my skin tone! lol

This is a good product to tone down brassiness in between salon visits where you can get a toner put through.

Just remember it’s like a normal mousse so gives hold and can make hair feel a bit stiffer than usual but hair holds in place more easily for styling. To get rid of the hold you need to wash your hair. 🙂 Let me know how it goes.

I used to just get the hairdresser to put a toner through my hair everytime… they charge like 15-20 for that i think and i found it helps…. Plus i used to get my hair done every 4-6weeks when I was blonder! So it stayed in gr8 condition 😀

This stuff is amazing! Only use a small amount though as it’s got some hold in it.
