Hair ties for thick, long hair

Can anyone recommend me a brand of durable hair ties for thick, long hair (curse my Asian hair!)?

I used these hair ties from the dollar ship (they were in a pack of 200(?) separated by in colours pink, red, yellow, green and purple) and they’re the only ones that can keep my hair up without sagging throughout the day. Unfortunately the dollar shop closed and I wasn’t able to snag a lifetime’s worth of hair ties.

Thanks!

I have to agree with you DG. The Scrunci range is one of the best I’ve come across. I’ve found some other brands snap easily and the Scunci range have good stretch and last a long time so yes I’d recommend them for long thick hair. They’re great value for money too.

Hi delicious girl – I know that most dollar shop hair ties aren’t that great, but mine were awesome and they didn’t have the metal strip. Thanks for your recommendations

Thanks to dancr, cosmetics queen (sorry if I get your username wrong as there’s an ellipsis after qu) and melmeko for your suggestions. After a long hiatus, it’s great to receive helpful advice from fellow BH members, although I am going to go on hiatus again as I have upcoming exams. But I’ll become a regular forum member after my stupid exams =)

    Hi Squeeshed!

You can buy some good ones from Priceline and they’re snagless which is best for hair. I am not sure what brand they are but snagless are best for all types of hair. They don’t contain any metal bits which can potentially damage hair. They are quite reasonably priced and very durable. I hope you find the right ties!

    🙂 xo

    Hi Squeeshed,

From my experience, the dollar shop hair ties are a total waste of money, they snap easily and my hair gets caught (and damaged!) in the metal strip thingie. Even though good brands ones are a tad exy, they are so durable and worth the money. I got these from Priceline,

I’m so impressed with these. Each hair tie lasts for ages without losing the elasticity.

Elite is also a nice brand too.
