Hair Straighteners

I need to buy a new hair straightener. I am so confused about the amount of choice and what to get. I have very curly hair. Who can recommend a great quality straightener for curly hair? I need HELP 🙂

Another vote for silver bullet. I got mine 5 years ago and it still works perfectly. My hair stays straight, silky and smooth until I wash it! It was $200+ when I bought it but I looked it up recently and the model I have is under $100 now. Its called black crystal. I also didn’t buy a ghd due to it not having variable temperature.

Pink_Sugar, sorry I did not get back to you sooner – had to go get a tooth pulled out yesterday!
I did look at the video how tos for the VS Sassoon Goddess straightener. My problem was that with each pass there seemed to be a lot of static or am I being too critical? My next question is why is steam necessary for straightening?
Maybe try buying both and return the one you don’t like? Cheeky but practical don’t you think?

Karmin, by far the best I have used.

Mine is also a G3 Salon Pro Hair Styling iron – it curls or straightens whatever you need and I love it.

I have never heard of Karmin! A lil more info/experiences, beauties? 🙂

Also I know I’m really delayed but I just placed an order on Shaver Shop for the VS Sassoon Goddess steam straightener and I cant wait to try it! My last cheapie VS lasted 8-9 years but considering I only use it a few times a year, it’s not all that impressive.

Best suggestion is to Google Karmin Hair Tools. My hairdresser recommended this brand to me as she and several of her colleagues also use them. What really swayed me was that of all the hair tool websites I read for comparisons Karmin was the only company that stood out as having a heart – they offer 3 annual scholarships open to applicants worldwide and they donate a portion of sales income to help children in need. End result I don’t feel too guilty pampering myself!

I have recently taken up straightening my hair and want some advice on a good hair straightener. At the moment I am just using a cheap $30 one as I didn’t want to invest in a good one until I was sure I would use it. I hear alot about GHD’s, are they really as good as everyone says?

I don’t have too much experience having only used VS Sasoon, Remmington and GHD but I can say for sure that GHD is the best in terms of results (long lasting) and non-snagging! I don’t think I could ever go back to be honest 😛

Don’t use GHD’s they are overpriced and not that good. Instead use Cloud 9. They may be a little expensive but they will last forever and will make your hair look great every time you use it.
