Hair Straighteners – Recommendations please

I know there are a few threads on straighteners already – but none answered all my questions…
I am looking for a hair straightener, last one I bought was about 4 years ago, it died about 2 years ago….I have decided it is time to have lovely hair once again. I have a budget of about $100 – $200 and I’d prefer something that I can curl with. Also what are everybody’s real thoughts on GHD – are they worth the extra $100 or is there an alternative thats just as good?

I think a GHD or a Cloud Nine hair straighteners are defiantly worth the extra bucks. They`re extremely easy to use and can do multiple hair looks, the set heat setting on the GHD is a `safe` setting for your hair which i think is fabulous otherwise i tend to heat my straighter up too much and regret it as it burns my hand to touch my hair afterwards.

I purchased my GHD around 8 years ago now and I have never had a single issue with it and it`s still working as good as it was the day i purchased it.

Honestly wouldn`t trade it for anything else.

I`ve been using Vidal Sassoon from almost 5 years and it`s always given me perfect results I can count on.

But now recently I was looking to invest in a new straightener, so my friend suggested me to go for Remington S5500 Digital Anti Static Ceramic Hair Straightener and I am really liking it.

You can have a look her , if thinking to go for the best hair straightener!!

i would recommend the VS Sassoon Goddess Ultimate Straightener it is great for curly hair also has a steam function, the steam is good for putting moisture back in to the hair.

I love my Cloud 9 straightener! I am a chronic hair straightener because my hair is naturally a giant frizz ball with no real curl/wave to it at all. After washing and blow drying my hair I straighten it completely with my Cloud 9 and it stays dead straight and silky smooth for at the next 3-4 days without needing to be touched up!

I have just purchased a new Cloud 9 hair straightener. I believe that this is the some people who made the original GHD before they were made in China. I have just given my GHD to my daughter as I don`t like it any better than the Diva I had 5 years ago. I have found the Cloud 9 lasts longer and doesn`t dry out my ends as much. The Cloud 9 has a temperature control and find that I don`t need to have it set as high to get excellent results. Highly recommend a Cloud 9.

Yes,GHD is a nice straightener, but I was able to try another great, not only straightener but a styler as well, and this includes curling. Its called `Silk Oil of Morocco Gold Sovereign Styler` and it also makes your hair super shiny as its infused with Argan Oil and this beautiful oil doesn`t make your oily or greasy ,just silky. You can get it here:

I use the Karmin G3 salon Pro, it works great with any type of hair, my hair is smooth, very straight and if i want i can make long lasting curls too, its easy to use. i love it! 🙂

So do I and my daughter!

    UPDATE
I gave in and sent the G3 to my granddaughter and upgraded to the Salon Series styling iron, decided I deserved a chrissie present.

I bought Gurin hair straightener form amazon after reading reviews. Great flat iron. I`m a hairstylist and I love this flat iron. It works just as well, if not better, as my expensive flat irons. It gets very hot, and very quickly. I like almost everything about it, but I do wish it was a little thinner.
