hair straightener decision – help please :)

Hey beauties!

I’m after a good quality hair straightener around the $100 mark. After lots of research, I have it narrowed down to two. VS Sassoon Ultimate Salon Straightener (which Myer have on sale at the moment for just over $100) and the muk Style Stick (for $99).
But this is where I need some help. These are the links to the bh pages for these products:

http://www.beautyheaven.com.au/hair/hair-tools/35463-muk-haircare-muk-style-stick
(I know the muk Style Stick doesn’t have any reviews yet, which isn’t helpful, but I did find a few on other websites)
These straighteners have things in common (both being salon-quality) and I can’t decide between them. Has anyone used either of these before? Has anyone got any suggestions/recommendations for me?
(btw I have wavy hair, and lots of it, it’s just past shoulder-length)
any help will be appreciated 🙂

    I would suggest the Karmin!!

I agree with you Amanda357 I also have a Karmin, mine is the G3 Salon Pro Hair Styling Iron with 100% Tourmaline Ceramic plates. It works very well on my straight hair!

My hairdresser told me. To get a silver bullet as they are as good as ghd. Considering my ghd is now 6 years old and still going strong that’s pretty impressive for a $99 price tag!

I had the silver bullet and it gave great results but it died after a year was so not happy 🙁

I have a Diva straightner for a few years now and its pretty good, I’ve just got a new Silver bullet one which is also good. The silver bullet is around $100. There both pretty good if your not wanting to spend too much money.

I use an Urban Culture hair straightener that I bought through my hairdresser. It has lasted for years so has been good value. I use Loreal Professionnel Expert Serie Thermo Cell Repair which protects my hair from damage from blow drying & straightening

Oh I didnt see your post about the silver bullet! I have heard of it, my hairdresser reccommended me the silver bullet a while ago. I have also seen it reduced I think it was at price attack because it was old stock but that was just after I bought my remington which i was quite happy with. But Silver bullet is very good and 49 is a great price. I would say SB is equivalent or very close to the GHD in terms of results. So if youre willing to give the muk& remington a miss, I think you shouldnt be disappointed by the SB 🙂

I also would go for remington. I have my remington straightener for two years and its still performing as good as new! I also do have a VS one which I purchased later, but my favourite is still the remington! I have not tried the muk but I have also heard good things about the toni&guy one.

I feel pretty proud, I researched the difference between ceramic, titanium and tourmaline on straightener plates. I feel so informed haha. I’ll see what Price Attack/Hairhouse Warehouse near me have in stock of Babyliss. But looking into it, the Silver Bullet Envy Ceramic seems pretty good, especially reduced to half price! It has ceramic and titanium floating plates and variable heat settings, which is pretty much what I’m looking for. I’ll just check what warranty it comes with.

the Remington Pearl was on my shortlist. I think Myer would have it on sale too at the moment. I’m not sure why I didn’t include it in my final list, I should look over my research again…
I did see a Silver Bullet at Price Attack reduced to $49 from $99, but I haven’t heard much about the brand before.
I am so hair-straightenered out! Plates, automatic switch off, warranties… Information overload haha.
