Hair products that protect

In summer, my hair struggles with chlorine drying it out & also the effects of UV rays on hot days.

I do rinse quickly post swimming, but would like suggestions for shampoos that work well to rid my hair of it.

Also looking for products that have effective UV filters in them I can use pre going into the sun

I have recently started using Eleven Australia’s miracle hair treatment. http://elevenaustralia.com/online.shop.product?id=3 Not sure how effective it is, but reviews are very encouraging so far.

Macadamia Natural Oil Luxurious Oil /Spray helps protect the hair from UV! It’s great for dry ends, damaged, frizzy and coloured hair!

Thanks everyone for your suggestions, all very helpful. I use a clarifying shampoo post every swim, but haven’t thought of putting a conditioning treatment on prior to hitting the pool.

I’ve done some BH research & seen that Wella Professional have a special sun & chlorine range & may invest in that, though something a little more affordable would be good to find too.

That Evo product also sounds great too for sun protection http://evohair.com/au/products/hair/needs/care/happy-campers-hard-working-moisturiser

Love the Evo Happy Campers range! Smells magnificent and my colour definitely last longer using it. My hair is soft and shiny after using the Evo treatment too.

I also suggest you put a conditioning treatment in before swimming and wash with a clarifying shampoo after. If you are blonde, a purple shampoo might also be a useful option.

Look for a shampoo with the word clarifying in the name or description, also hair oils and specially targeted chlorine protection sprays are great, Priceline should have products like that.

I have recently started using Eleven Australia’s miracle hair treatment. Reviews look very encouraging, so I have high hopes with it. It was around $25.

I’m looking for such products too. I saw on a magazine today one product which is called Evo Happy Campers Hard-Working Moisturiser, $ 26.95. The description is ” safeguard your hair by coating it with a leave-in Moisturiser that contains UV filters”. I haven’t heard of this brand and have no idea where I can buy it. But I’d still love to have a try.

Hey, first I would advice you to protect your hair on using a protective shampoo and mask, i will be easier>
Then you can use some oil for example to protect your hair from sun damage
