Hair Dryer Recommendations?

I desperately need a new hair dryer and have no idea which one to buy. I have been trying out a few of my friends hair dryers but they have all made my hair feel really dry. The one I’m using at the moment is probably about 10 years old and has been really good but it is now on it’s last legs.

I use a lot of heat on my hair and always use a great heat defense. My hair is naturally really curly but I blow dry it straight and then straighten it with a flat iron. I will never leave my hair natural, as soon as I get out of the shower I blow dry it. Some blow dryers make my hair feel really dry, I don’t want that.

I’m willing to spend up to $200 (I would prefer to spend between $50-$100 but if the dryer is going to work well and last for a really long time I’m happy to spend more) and I have no idea which one to buy.

I’ve asked sales girls in salon stores for recommendations but I feel like they’re just pointing me to the most expensive ones to just make a good sale.

Help!? What should I buy??

I bought mine from TK Maxx, they randomly had one there on sale for half the RRP, so it was such a bargain. I’d been procrastinating about buying one for ages and I’d been looking at them at Hairhouse Warehouse and you can also get them off Adore Beauty.

Definitely try Parlux, I bought one about 4 months ago and it has been fabulous!!

The last hairdryer I got was through a BH rewards room a V S one. Haven’t been that happy with it, quite big and cumbersome and I think the heat is starting to go out of it, still seems to take forever to dry my hair. Might look into a Parlux one.

I am considering getting a GHD hair dryer. Anyone know much about them?

Ghd is no longer the good quality brand it used to be 10 years ago. It was sold by a company operating out of south Korea to a company no operating in china using Chinese parts. THIS is why so many people are
Having problems with the new ghds and the hair dryers. Stick to the parlux hair dryers they are italian made and have a very good name in the hairdressing industry
There is a reason why all hairdressers use parlux..because they are really good and they have a really good warranty compared to the ghd

Thanks so much, that is awesome advice!!!

I am considering getting a GHD hair dryer. Anyone know much about them?

I have the air hair dryer! I love it! Previously I used the ghd travel sized one and compared to that it obviously dries my hair in no time. It has a variety of settings including a cool blast to set your hair style. And considering it’s size it’s also really light to hold. They’ve brought out a newer one told, aurua. That has some other functions. I don’t have a problem with this hair dryer, it does what I need it too and hasn’t damaged my hair.
