Glosscar Winner – Trip to Franck Provost Hornsby Salon
As one of 10 Glosscar Winners of the awesome prize pack earlier this year, I was gifted a trip to the Franck Provost Hair salon at Hornsby because L’Oreal’s Professionnel Pro Fiber Auto Regenerate Long-Lasting Care Activator was a Glosscars winner.
I’d love to share my hair journey with you:-
My appointment was at 1:30pm today (23 July 2016) at the new Hornsby salon. They have been open for 2 months.
The technicians were lovely. They greeted me warmly, asked me if I’d like a drink (tea, coffee, water, champagne), and invited me to sit down.
It is a very inviting looking salon. Lots of different stations, lots of light (two walls of floor to ceiling windows and down lights), modern and clean looking, and a fantastic looking bar down one end. A nail bar!
We had a chat about my hair. It is long, dead straight, very fine but healthy. Initially I had been offered a Pro Fiber treatment and Blow Wave but it was decided that the Pro Fiber treatment works better on hair that isn’t as healthy as mine, and it wouldn’t have the desired effect on my hair.
So I had a Kerastase treatment instead (The Kerastase Serum Jeunesse is another Glosscars winner, so all good).
Over to the hair sink I went for a shampoo, condition, treatment, relaxing head massage and warm head wrap. I almost felt guilty that my husband was looking after our toddler outside. I could hear her yelling…but he figured it out 😉 And I continued to enjoy being pampered.
After a towel dry, it was time for a good spritz of Kerastase serum, and a blow dry. The cool thing about this blow dry was that it wasn’t what my hairdresser usually does (pulls down with the brush and blow dries at the same time to get my hair straight). It was a blow wave – which means that the brush is being rotated and pulled out, so the hair gets a wave or soft curl to it. It does take longer to do, but it looks great.
And then out came the styler, and curls. Wow, my hair refuses to curl for me, no matter what I do to it, but here they were!
A quick spray of hair spray to hold the curls in place and my hair was done. I loved it!
I was told the treatment would last 6 to 8 weeks, depending on how often I wash my hair.
It was also great to be able to discuss a plan for my hair. I pulled one grey hair out yesterday, but I’m sure they’ll be many more. It is great to know that I don’t have to dye all my hair in one hit, which would mean you have to maintain that colour. There are new L’Oreal products that target greys, and are subtle, and other things your stylist/technician can do.
I was most impressed by the team at the salon. They were a very friendly team and it was obvious to me that customer service was their priority. There was no awkwardness, I felt completely okay to ask questions and it wasn’t intimidating. For a mum of three children (two teenagers and a toddler) who rarely gets the opportunity to visit a hair salon, and when I do, it’s a quick trim, it was such a lovely experience.
There is a menu of services on their website for hair and nails.
I would definitely highly recommend the Franck Provost Hornsby Salon.
Pictures to follow, folks!
