Favourite at home hair dye

I love John Freida ones. They leave my hair glossy and last longer than other brands.

I’ve not used any bad product, but think L’Oréal tends to stick better than Garnier, but Garnier is gentler on hair.

I’ve been using L’Oréal Excellence for about 15 years. I try new brands every now & then, but I keep going back to the Excellence because greys start to peek out within a week with other dyes. I don’t use colour protecting shampoo because my oily hair gets greasy too soon when I tried them. I use deep cleansing shampoo every wash, that’s what washes away the other hair dyes. It occurs far less with the Excellence. I reckon if grey coverage is your main aim, Excellence covers greys best.

I really like Garnier’s Olia…I have a very small bathroom, and the fact that this product has not strong ‘knock-out’ smell is great. I think that it’s easy to use, and I’m always pleased with the results!

I have stopped using ‘box brand’ hair dyes and only use direct dyes now. I have been using Directions missed with conditioner.

I did use a John Freida a while back when I received a voucher for a free box and thought it was a good quality product.
