Dying natural red hair Recommendations.

Hey beauties,

I was thinking for dying my natural red hair and I was wondering if you beauties had any experience doing it with normal hair dye.

I have long dark orange to brown hair. Not get me wrong I love the colour but it has faded since I moved to Queensland and I want to change it a little.

I am going to use Clairol Nice’ n Easy in 100 Natural Lightest.

If you could share anything, that would be helpful. Thanks.

I have used both henna and blonde highlights on my red hair at different times and have been really happy with the results of both. The henna really brightened the red of my hair and whilst I loved it, I decided to stop as it is not the most practical colour for someone who loves the beach and swimming as much as I do. Henna is not a permanent colour and it tends to run when you get it wet, so not an ideal look when you are at the beach or pool. Great for winter though. As we head into summer (I can’t wait!) I have decided to go a bit blonde. I won’t go completely blonde as I like my red hair and still want to be a redhead. I am, however, getting it done professionally as I was a bit unsure how it would turn out if I did it myself. I have had it done twice now and am going a little blonder each time. I must admit I really like the change and if I get sick of it I will put a red over the top of it and let it grow out.

For me the best natural dye is pure henna. i have dark brown hair and never used a dye in my whole life. whenever i need to redden them i use this home remedy. A paste of henna powder, juice of raw red oinion, powdered coffee and oil. apply it for atleast 4 hrs, starting from roots to the ends. then wash it off. 🙂
