I totally went through the same thing to the point where I tried a lot of anti dandruff product but they didn’t help but as soon as I started using coconut oil they disappeared so I would suggest coconut oil though it has a strong smell it works wonders

    Welcome to my world!

Someone on another thread told me it could be due to a chemical called sodium laureth sulphate (sls) which is in most products. My dandruff gets particularly bad in winter so over the weekend i bought some shampoo and conditioner from a company called A Bit Hippy which supposedly has no sls. It arrived yesterday (super quick delivery) and I used it for the first time last night and oh my word has it improved! Still a tiny bit of dandruff but it is so much better than it was before. This is them – http://abithippy.com.au/ I’m hoping a few more washes will fix the problem but so far so good.

Massage your scalp with coconut and olive oil. It is a very effective method for dry scalp. You can also take advice from professional hair experts and try some hair treatments for instant results.

Have you tried Nizoral 2%. That helped reduce my dandruff. I still get little specks every now and then but it doesn’t bother me.

From where I can get nizoral 2%

I bought mine from chemist warehouse. I’m not sure where else you can buy it from.

    Coconut Oil 🙂

I find that if I keep it contained to my scalp and as close to my scalp as possible it does the trick WITHOUT giving me greasy hair. I wash it out pretty thoroughly though with head and shoulders. It’s very rare that head and shoulders doesn’t do the trick for me.

My boyfriend doesn’t have luck with head and shoulders and because his head is shaved I think it’s just dry scalp, rather than dandruff.. Coconut oil works a treat for him.

I suffer from dandruff to. Pharmacy dandruff shampoos have nizoral 2% in it a good one I have found is the neutrogena one. Its a dark honey looking colour and really doesnt smell that great but I think it works. Also try washing your hair every second day with baking soda then white vinegar as product build up is sometimes a cause. Baking soda is a gentle cleanse for hsir and scalp and white vinegar/apple cider vinegar is a great natural conditioner.
