Best heat protectant recommendations

Heyya there! I’m after a new heat protectant for when I straighten and curl my hair. At the moment I’m using tresemme heat tamer spray and it’s ok. But I’m looking for something better. I find the tresemme a bit sticky and that makes it gross to use! This is the only heat protectant I’ve used. My hair doesn’t get damaged so I suppose it’s working! I just wish it wasn’t so sticky and tacky.

What is the best heat protectant you use/used?

Thanks ☺

Hi again Pink_Sugar, can’t say it is the best can only say it works for me. I have dead straight Asian hair and after each shampoo and before blow drying I apply a leave in treatment, Pro Naturals Moroccan Argan Oil. I rub the ends of my hair and all the way up the shaft but I steer clear of the scalp. Be careful, a little goes a long way. Once my hair is dry I then curl it with my G3 Salon Pro hair styling iron. I normally shampoo every 3 days. Hair feels great, not sticky, shines, no flyaways and no split ends. Might work for you???

The Toni & Guy spray is fantastic. Priceline will have Toni & Guy products for $10 every now and then, so it’s a great time to give it a try when they do!

I have really wanted to buy this one!

I have been using the ELEVEN Australia miracle hair treatment before straightening my hair and I really like it. It has a nice coconut scent and it doesn’t leave your hair greasy or heavy. It’s a mix between a serum and a cream.

Oh im glad to read your ideas on this product- drying to try it- looks amazing, and my hairdresser is always trying to sell it to me

Muk has a great heat protector and so does bed head. The bed head on is an aerosol so its really easy to apply and not sticky.

The kerastase Elixir oil and eleven Australia treatment sound really good. They both have amazing reviews.
I use treatments after washing my hair, letting it dry then applying heat protectant before straightening or curling.

Lately I’ve been trying out more salon brand hair care products such as babyliss argan oi and Macadamia Natural Oil products.
