Anyone else trying out the Serioxyl Treatments from L’Oréal Professionnel?

Hi beauties,

I was just wondering if anyone else who attended last week’s degustation is trying out the Serioxyl Treatment from L’Oréal Professionnel.

I’ve started using the products and although it is too soon to tell if it helps with thinning hair I am quite liking it so far. My hair seems “fluffier” instead of flat and lifeless which is often a bonus with fine thin hair.

I have been trialling these products and have noticed no increase in the density or length of my body hair 🙂

I just got given this haircare set and am about to try it
The only thing I’m worried about is that when you wash your hair with this and the excess drips down your back will it also affect the thickness of the hairs on your body
    because that would be horrible!

Looks like L’oreal have added responses to some of our posts. After using 8 full “shots” a day of the denser serum there is still no way I can see that it would last 1.5 months as they have said. Mine was used up by 3 weeks and so I haven’t had any to use for a couple of weeks now. Thanks to L’oreal for clearing up how much to apply each day though.

I didn’t receive the Serioxyl products at the recent bh degustation day (3 weeks ago) – instead receiving the Absolut Repair Lipidium hair care products.

Received Issy’s email yesterday about writing reviews for these products and the products were ‘Due to be up very soon’ but I’m still unable to find them – is it just me or are they under something else?

Reviews are due by tomorrow and I was hoping to do them tonight.

Guess all I can do is write them and keep them in a document until there is a link.

Hi Kassalee, I haven’t been able to find the links yet either but did what you said and have written my review in a document to be ready. You’re not alone! 😉

Thanks *Dollhouse*, it’s comforting to know I’m not alone!

I’ve written my reviews on the 4 products I received and sent them to myself in an email – just in case my computer fails, then I have them on my iphone – too much time invested!

Emailed Issy as well, late last night. I’m sure and I hope beautyheaven are extremely busy collating the results for the Best In Beauty Awards – should hear who the winners are very very soon!

I did try searching yesterday and today on BH website and there’s no link for the Serioxyl treatments and hair products. I decided to jump onto the forum just in case if I really did miss it but it’s good to know a few of us are on the same page. Guess I’ll email Isabel as well!

How are you all going with your trials? I have almost finished the treatment serum. I measured 8 pipettes to be approx 6ml and considering there is 90 ml in the bottle it would last atleast 15 days for the serum. So for a month’s worth of treatment you would need 2 bottles and considering the treatment works best if used consistently for 3 months you would be looking at buying 6 bottles for three months worth of treatment.
I find counting the 8 pipettes to be quite tedious I mean , at times in between application I would loose count of how many pipettes I have already applied.
I really enjoy the minty shampoo and conditioner it feels fresh .

I’m with you MoonlightSak, I have almost run out and I suspect it would be a very expensive exercise if you were to keep going for 3 months. I’m not sure what the price of the serum is. I should do a google search…. I found a UK price of 29 pounds for the serum which is about AU$52 a bottle I think?

    RESPONSE FROM L’OREAL:

You should be using the full 8 pipettes “SHOTS” of the denser hair and not drops. The recommended dosage is 3-8 pipettes a day, a bottle should last about 1.5 months. There will be more information on Serioxyl once it launches which will be in early November.

The best way to not lose count is to section the hair into 4, make sure you use 2 pipettes per section every night or 1 pipette per section in the morning and 1 per section in the night!

George did actually say to use 8 pipettes of the serum and this is what he demonstrated to our group not 8 drops. He did say the serum would not last for 3 months. I too will be lucky if mine lasts for 1 month! Maybe we need to get clarification from L’Oreal Professionel.

Hi Ingrid, I thought that is what George said too but wondered if I had misunderstood. I found a link somewhere online that said use 2-8 pipettes depending on the thickness of your hair. I received an email today from Isabelle at beautyheaven saying that Loreal wanted to get in touch to see how we were feeling about the product. Maybe we can check with them when they get in touch with us? 🙂
