Apple pie fragrances?

So lately, I’ve been in love with the Ginger Apple perfume by Urban Rituelle, but it has no lasting power. It smells like apples, cinnamon, vanilla and brown sugar. It is a really nice winter scent and it’s not too dark so I love it for daytime. Do you know any similar perfumes? I’d love to try some more, and find a longer lasting one.

For something with true subtlety and sophistication, but definitely still hinting at smokey apple pie with touches of cinnamon, I would highly recommend Hermes Hermessence Ambre Narguile.

That one sounds lovely! And there are notes of rum in there too, yum!

Have you tried Demeter fragrances? They make very simple perfumes that smell exactly like what they describe and the make a lot of ones based on baking. I googled and they do have an apple pie one. Might be worth seeing if you can pick one up on Ebay?

No, i haven’t tried them but I’ve been told that they don’t last at all, so I’m a bit cautious about trying. I’ll see if I can find one for a low price! 🙂

Demeter fragrances don’t last long at all – I’ve tried tons of them over the years and they are very true scents but gone in half an hour or so.

I can’t think of any specific apple pie perfumes that are currently available, but have you tried any indie perfume oil shops? They pretty much all sell samples and a lot of them have foodie kind of scents. Given most are US based and apple is associated with their fall season you might have more luck around August and on, but maybe have a look at shops like Haus of Gloi. Solstice Scents, or Possets Perfumes.

If you’re willing to risk a full size bottle, there are also perfume oil companies who will make you a custom scent. Haus of Gloi does them, and so do Alchimia Apothecary and Common Brimstone. All give awesome customer service, all are very knowledgable and all are happy to talk to you first to work out exactly what you want.

FYI: Indie perfume oils that include synthetics tend to last the longest. Perfume oils from purely natural oils and essential oils don’t last long on the skin.

Thanks for all the info, I’ll look into the indie shops. 🙂

Not sure about apple pie fragrance but how about apple pie cocktail?! Have you ever tried vanilla galiano with cloudy apple juice? I swear it tastes like apple pie- YUM!

No, I’ve never tried it, but it sounds amazing!

You have to! My sister is the fussiest eater/drinker alive (only water, no lollies only red allens frogs, loves pasta but generally plain, Hawaiian pizza only etc) and even she likes this! It’s the only thing she will drink aside from chocolate mudslides!!!

I made it today and my friends and I love this! Thanks for the idea 🙂

Yeah I don’t like the smell of DKNY perfumes either :S which is a shame because it seems to be really popular! I’ve seen this urban rituelle perfume sold at Forever New stores: http://www.forevernew.com.au/special-gifts/sweet-treats-petit-parfum-2010957502005

It’s in ginger apple but I’m not sure if it actually smells like apple!

Hmmm. DKNY Be Delicious is a really nice apple smell – not so much cinnamon though. Worth a sniff?

I’m not a fan of DNKY perfumes, there is a note in all of them that gives me a headache, sadly. I think I’ll try it out though, it could be good! Thanks for the suggestion
