Favourite deodorant?

I seem to be on the look out for new products a lot lately. Even though i’m on my spending ban, i’ll only be purchasing when i need something. So to prepare myself for when i run out of my current deodorant i want to know what your favourite is! Something that will provide long lasting protection AND NO WHITE MARKS! I’m so disappointed in the current one i’m using, it has left white marks on my black cardigans. It’s a rexona one that you twist up, and is solid. So tell me what you use!

Michum deodorants are the bomb. There awesome.
Loving there new clinical protection range its the best I’ve tried.
You should try the clinical protection ones because they stop the sweating which causes the smell and you only have to put them on once every 24 hours.
Dove and rexona made good ones too.

The only one that worked for me (as a trainer I need a good quality deodorant that would not let me down) is : one part bi-carb soda + one part cold pressed coconut oil. Mixed in a small jar, just smudge small amount under arms once a day like a cream (add vanilla drops or eucalyptus oil or whatever smell you like, I prefer plain). Keeps smelly bacteria away for more than 24H!!! The best!!!
And no harsh toxic stuff, like aluminum compounds….
If you have sensitive skin add little bit more coconut oil.
Trust me girls, this IS the best cheapest deodorant ever! Field tested after teaching 6 classes in one day!!!!

    This sounds clever.
    Any reactions in the past?

    1) Dove Invisible Dry
    2) Women 48h Crystal Active

These are my favourites because they go on clean, never cake up and no white marks. I’ve never had a reaction to these like I have with some others (Nivea gave me a horrible itchy rash) and I think they smell nice and fresh.

How long have you used this for?
Ive heard of a few people getting bi-carb irritations after a few weeks?

heaps of people get irritation from bicarb in deodorants. google it. its really common 🙁
I had a very painful reaction after using Miessence deodorant which contains bicarb.
was so painful, bright red skin that felt tight and was painful when I moved my arms and I couldn’t use deodorant for over a week.

definitely be cautious if you’re going to try it..

For sensitive skin add bit more coconut oil in the mix (as bi-carb soda dries the skin a bit so you are not wet all the time, but try first half/half). On warm weather it will melts so soda settles bit, normal temp. it is like a paste. Just mix trough before smudging underarms. Also helps with irritation if you put very fine bicarb soda, as homebrand sells a bit more larger granules, so it feels scratchy.
I have been using this deodorant since 2009!
Only after waxing I would use milder version by putting first tiny amount of coconut oil, then the mix.
    Hope this helps
Play with ratios to suit yourself and with few drops of essential oil if you like it perfumed. No lavander, apparently it causes cell death! (invitro though)

Thanks for that info Johanna and I agree with you about

as I use bicarb soda in a cleaning paste recipe I use and I noticed a few months ago the home-brand gave it a much grainier texture (which wasn’t good!) but I’ve found the brand from Aldi (not sure what it’s called as I’m not at home) is a lovely fine texture.

I, too, am looking for a new deodorant. I’ve found many of the ones I purchase (even when antiperspirant) don’t prevent me from getting massive sweat patches under my arms that eventually turn yellow. Can anyone suggest a product for this issue?

Rexona Clinical protection! It’s exceeded my expectations by far. I’ll repurchase for summertime use. I don’t need super powered deodorant/anti-perspirant in winter.

I also agree with *misfotune8*! The Rexona clinical protection is amazing and has absolutely changed my sweaty betty life!

Does this work the same as Dryclor? Does it sting?

I haven’t used Dryclor so I wouldn’t know but it doesn’t sting at all! It’s best used at night just before bed and then you’re ready to go for the next day.
