THANK YOU

Hi Everyone

Just wanted to give a shout out to the community for all the lovely messages and support!!

Happy to report, I’ve signed a new contract and will be starting Monday.

This week I am recharging, cleaning and shopping haha 🙂

The new team seems super genuine and down to earth and really happy to have me. Going to be a big change moving to a Boutique law firm vs. mid or top, but I am really elated for it.

The face I made is below for when I heard the news!!

    I feel like I finally (knock on wood) have what I have been searching for, a work home and a mentor to teach me all the skills to make me the best lawyer I can be.

    I’ve learnt more this week than I have my entire career thus far, so I am so pleased with how this is going and what’s next!!

      Sometimes being made redundant or leaving an impossible job is the best thing that can happen to you – although you don’t think so at the time – we all need a crystal ball!

    Great sounds like 1st day was GREAT – It’s lovely starting with another newbie too and have someone to go to lunch with. I can feel it through your words that you enjoyed your day. great news 🙂

      It really is – it`s so nice having a buddy system from the start 🙂

      And went out for dinner with one of the other coworkers on Friday, so slowly building connections with diff people which is nice, makes it feel more homey each day.

      Thanks lovely Kassalee!! It really was a lovely first day 🙂 The flowers were truly the icing on the cake. My desk has looked lovely all week.

      I shall try and post a photo of them on here, been having issues trying to compress it.

    Will post this twice so it doesn’t get lost in the comments!

    My monday, only started at 9.30 which was lovely – got to sleep in, test out a new coffee/breakie place.

    Everyone was super lovely – albeit, I think because of the mardi grads – 5 people called in sick!! So, out of 22 people that’s a pretty big chunk haha.

    I had one other gal starting with me today, really nice young gal starting as a secretary, we went to lunch together.

    AND after lunch, one of my lovely mates got flowers delivered – I had helped her recently and she cleverly decided my first day would be a great surprise! Boy, was I ever surprised 😀

    Now, just have to find a vase!

    Tomorrow, we have a team meeting so I am hoping to pick up some matters and get started! Today, as expected was pretty chill and was out of there at 6.05 🙂

        I`d love to meet you too, darasparkle, but train travel is not something I do any longer and it would be horrendous if I had to leave because someone`s fragrance and/or the fragrance of a product made me feel ill – and that`s quite possible!!! I`ll just look forward to hearing about it. You have fun!! I`m so very pleased your new venture is working out so beautifully.
