Topshop Australia

So Topshop is opening in Perth next friday!! I’m so excited, but I was wondering what the prices are like? For those of you in the eastern states, do the clothes cost as much as they do on the website or do they cost a bit more in store? What’s the price range for dresses/jeans/shoes etc. I’d love to know, so I can quickly save up some money to spend in Topshop!

Thanks xx

I live in Sydney CBD and have been to the Topshop here a few times. The price point for clothes are $80ish and up. Accessories and makeup are more affordable but didn’t really appeal to me. They have sales though, and that’s when everything going out of season is reduced upto 70%ish. Still I’m petite and their stuff doesn’t really fit me so I haven’t bought anything yet.

It’s so frustrating. Such great clothes but I never buy anything unless it’s on sale because the clothes are so expensive. I also wish they had an Australian online store.

I’m still a fan of shopping online. I prefer to try things on in store, but the prices are just not worth it for the quality.

Can be exspensive depending on the item of clothing you are buying. If you like something better to shop around adn see if you can get it somewhere else cheaper first

Hi! I live in Sydney and I’ve been to Topshop quite a few times:
Tops tend to cost about $40 on average.. but range from $30-100+. I saw a nice silk-like work top that I wanted but I had a look at the price which was $90 so I was pretty disappointed at that.
Jeans are about $80, bags also about $80 and the shoes are $30 for thongs and go to 100+ for boots.
My friend actually orders online for Topshop even though we have the store in Sydney because it is quite expensive unfortunately.

I’ve only been to Topshop in the UK when I visit my family, if its similar to what it is over there it isn’t really my style and as a lot of other people have said its quite pricey in comparison to the quality they sell.

I live not too far from a shopping center in Melbourne that has had a Top Shop for a while.
I totally agree that it’s insanely overpriced! Even the basics (plain tees, jeans etc.) are way overpriced.
Generally speaking, the cheapest pieces starts at $20-30 (the basics, pretty expensive imo) and go up to $100-$150. The median price is probably like $40-50.
I’ve never shopped Topshop online but I’m guessing the prices are pretty much the same, I can’t imagine a huge discrepancy.

I work right next to the Brisbane store and I have to say, it’s been a real flop. The first few weeks were packed and I think it was the novelty of it, because people weren’t actually buying things. When I finally went in a few weeks later, I thought the prices were really high and didn’t match the quality. Some of the cheapest items were around $40-$50. Also, the products really didn’t match our climate. The brisbane store opened in December, and there were so many jumpers, knits, pants and cardigans!! The store itself was really hot inside and you’d be insane to wear that kind of clothing during a Qld summer!! Forever 21 has just opened here and we were all worried it would be the same, but I have to say, way better – prices are so much more reasonable.

i live in NSW and i’ve been to the sydney cbd store, the clothes aren’t my style and i thought they were too expensive, but i’m also a total cheapskate who is almost never going to spend over $40 for a dress, let alone $20 for a dinky pair of bart simpson underpants.
on the other hand, their makeup range is good and affordable, it’s cheaper than maybelline etc. however it is mainly colour, e.g. eyeshadow, lipstick etc. they are most well known for their lipstick in the makeup blogging world as i understand it.

I’ve been to the Melbourne stores and also thought their prices were on the pricier side. They have some nice stuff though 🙂
