Recent Earthquakes in South East Queensland – anyone felt them?

I live on the Gold Coast and we have had two Earthquakes in the last few days, one on Thursday morning and one this afternoon around 1.40pm.

The one today was very noticeable, things shook and it sounded like thunder. A bit scary, has anyone else felt them? Have never experienced one before.

I hate to think what it must be like for people living in areas where they have deadly earthquakes.

    Hey Hayley544,

    It apparently struck off near Fraser Island, and was I think a 5.3 (the largest in Queensland’s history). I didn’t feel it, which was weird, as I’m in Brisbane!
