The NSW Fair Trading department was unable to help me (as I thought) but it is worthwhile making a complaint because they do keep a register and if there are sufficient numbers of complaints they will then investigate the company. Glad to hear that OzSale helped out some beauties. x
That’s unfortunate Roxymisha 🙁 Fair Trading are pretty useless actually. My BF had some major issues with a computer that he had a store build for him, all except for 1 part (the modem) was bought from their store and they assembled it, assured him it would work with no issues and then when there were a number of issues (like the computer turning off when you put a hard drive in the front USB ports, and weird graphical issues when playing any game) they tried blaming it on him. No one has been able to fix the issues to date, basically it’s a lemon. The store’s staff were very abusive and unhelpful but fair trading couldn’t do anything other than give them empty threats. But that’s unrelated to Ozsale.
After reading all of the horror stories online I feel very lucky to have got a nice customer relations person from Ozsale. I just hope that there are no hassles with the refund or shipping and they didn’t just tell me what I wanted to hear. Will report back with how it all went in a couple of weeks.
