Getting married, photography help!!?

Hey ladies!
I’m getting married in October of this year and am quickly noticing that I have left some things way to late!!
We need to organise a photographer ASAP, can anyone recommend anyone? The wedding is in Melbourne. I have seen Epic Photography advertised on Facebook.
“Epic Photography”:http://weddings.epicphotography.com.au
There are some good reviews about them, has anyone used them before??

In the interim, ask your friends to take photos with their phones and cameras. Set up a site or dropbox for them to save the photos to. That way you will have an instant album of photos from a different (and fun) perspective. You can also hire a photo booth for at the reception.

I would suggest my photographer who was fantastic, however he is in Sydney.

Once you decide on your photographer, make sure that your contact states when you will be receiving your photos! Let’s just say I learnt this the hard way. Got them in the end, but it’s not fun having to chase someone to get what you paid for. Xx

This is what happened to my friend with Millgrove Photography. Her wedding was almost a year ago. Still waiting for the album they paid A LOT for.

  • V V I can recommend checking out who of your friends that take great photos to do your wedding. They are bound to do their utmost to get great shots.

At our wedding, one of my hubby’s groomsmen took several shots throughout the day and I wish we’d actually hired him as our wedding photographer because he took better shots than our ‘photographer’ who is actually quite well known around here. I loved the groomsman’s photos but I was very disappointed with the ‘professional’ photographer’s photos.

So take a closer look at those who may be budding photographers in your closer rings of friends! Maybe the answer to your need is there!

    Hope this helps! : )

An idea to make some memories at the wedding, buy those cheap disposable cameras that you have to wind the little scroll thing and put them on the guests tables and let them take pictures during the wedding! Collect and print them and see the funny, memorable pics they take that the photographer may not.

My friend in Albury is a photographer ( I say very good but of course I’m biased!). His website is http://www.dgapphotos.com. He also is on facebook as davidgordonphotos. You could have a look as he’s very keen to get more business (he’s new but I know he has done a number of weddings already). Hope this is useful
