Ditzy Dilemmas!

So it has been said in the lead up to menstrual cycles, ladies appear to become a bit clumsier and clutzier!

Now this of course is not for everyone as some people experience this at all times, not just at that time of the month.
I wondered what things have happened to you where you have had a “Did I seriously just do that!” Moment. Gives everyone a bit of a chuckle or eye roll in my case probably!
I’ll tell you what happened in my house to start

I thought I would just make a quick coffee so filled up the water tank, put a pod in and just went ahead and closed the lid, took me a second to realise that I had coffee going all over my bench because I hadn’t put a mug there yet!!! What the heck!
Who even does that hahaha!
There I am doing this little dance of twisting back and forth in a semi circle, trying to figure out what to grab first, a mug, a cloth???

We have all done these sort of things, don’t be shy and share it brings a little joy to everyone knowing it’s not just them.
Plus we all need a laugh every now and then 😅

I’m pretty sure every girl has these moments. I once went to make a coffee filled the jug up and waited about 10 minutes for it to boil to realise I hadn’t even turned the jug on to boil. Wow. Also, does anyone else freak out about losing their phone when the whole time you’ve actually been holding it… 

YES! The phone one is me all the time.

I can one up you on that one – I’ll be using the flashlight on my phone to find my phone..

Hahahah!!! That’s gold! I always think I’ve lost something while I’m holding it.

I don’t know how many times I’ve forgotten that I’ve made a cup of tea or coffee. I’ll make one, put it on the coffee table, get up to do something, then make another cup, come back to the coffee table and realize I have two cups to drink. I think I’m losing it lol.

I’ve had the opposite problem when making a cuppa at my mum’s place. I put on the jug, I get a mug & put it on the counter. I get the tea bags & put them on the counter, but there’s no mug. I think: hey? didn’t I get a mug already? obviously not. I leave the tea bag jar on the counter, then get a clean mug. I go back to the counter to wait for the jug to boil. Where are the tea bags? I think to myself that I must be going mad, I take a moment to look around the kitchen to see where I must have put the tea bags, when all of a sudden, my mother takes my clean mug & puts it in the sink. She’s been following me “cleaning up” out of habit without realising I’m trying in vain to make a damn cuppa!

Our Coles parking lot is a bit confusing for me, so much that whenever I go there alone, I forget where I parked my car. There are no column letters/numbers or anything and I always never know where my car is, no matter how much I try to remember.

So when I come out with my bag of groceries, I just walk around looking for my car, but because I don’t want to look like an oddball and look like I’m stealing anyone else’s car, I pick up my phone and pretend I’m talking on my phone and keep walking around while I search for my car. And I eventually find it after I’ve walked around and spoken to no one on my phone for a while.
I really hate it when this happens, luckily, they’re redeveloping the Coles, so the place will change!

That’s so funny CherryBlossom!! I don’t think you need to go to that much trouble to look normal though. I lose my car all the time and just wander around looking for it. No one seems to pay any attention.

I just thought of a stupid thing I did recently. I had a stressful day at work and had my mind elsewhere when I was driving home…….anyway, there’s a set of traffic lights that I always have to stop at (you know those light that are hardly ever green when you get to them..)….on this particular night they were green and I stopped anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!! I only woke up when the car behind me tooted! I felt like SUCH an idiot!!!

Having been in two car accidents in which both my cars were written off by drivers going through red lights, I think it’s better to be safe than sorry! Getting honked by an impatient driver behind you is no biggie.

I was having a fish oil supplement so I uncapped both the fish oil bottle and my water bottle. After having my supplement I caught myself capping the fish oil bottle (wide mouth-like a jar) with the water bottle cap (narrow mouth). -_-
I’m also constantly bumping into furniture and have bruises to show for it.

I thought you were going to say you drank the fish oil as if it were your water!!! EEEEW

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought that was where the story was going! Hahahaha!

Hahahaha! Can you imagine! Yuck. I am sure the smell would hit your nose before the liquid hit your lips.
I would like to hope so anyways.

We have one supermarket like that near us! No matter how close I park I can never find it! I always try to park near a light post or tree but 9 times out of 10 I still go to the wrong row!!

To be honest when I see people walking around looking for their cars I do chuckle! I guess I’m allowed to as it happens to me all the time, right?????
It probably happens to more people than we realise because they are smart enough to disguise it like you do Cherryblossom. I would have never thought to pretend I was on my phone. I just walk around looking lost.

You have all made me laugh so much!! Who would have thought others misfortune was so hilarious!
Reading through them has made me think of a few more…….
    I really surprise myself sometimes!

I have been talking on my phone as I am about to leave the house but have walked around everywhere searching through my house looking for the said phone THAT I WAS TALKING ON!! Luckily it was only to my sister, so she is probably used to it!

We have a safety switch for our oven so the girls can’t just turn it on, which is great! Except when me being me turns the oven on to cook and goes back 15 minutes later and it’s not even warm!! Or puts the water on to boil and it hasn’t even started! Yep you guessed it, safety switch hasn’t been turned on!
