Eyeshadow application

Hi all, I’m just wondering what’s the general rule with applying eyeshadow? Is it dark shadow before light shadow on the eye or light shadow before dark shadow? What colours do you think suit brown, asian eyes? Thanks, Meredith |

It varies with everyone. I usually just do one shade, but if I’m doing a smokey eye, I do the light colour all over my lid first and then add the dark colours. |

I usually do a light colour all over first and then build it up in the crease & outer V with darker shades. |

It depends what sort of look you want to create. There are lots of youtube tutorials on different looks, so maybe check them out:) |

typically you’ll have a lighter colour in your tear duct areas, a slightly darker colour over lid and then an even darker colour in the outer corners, crease and taken under lower lash line if you like. you can do that with any colours. here’s a really good blog post which should help :) |
