I went into price line yesterday to score some fab deals and saw that models prefer had a new range of make up ! I absolutely love their synthetic make up brushes! They are so soft and dense! I bought the large powder brush and also the large stippling brush and I think they were about $16 – 17 each which is a bargain! I also bought 3 bottles of their nail polish for $6 each which is also very affordable :) |

I’ve got one of the lipgloss pencils and love it, think I posted a LOTD several weeks ago or maybe it was in the makeup thread about exciting new products… The baked shadows look great and their range of brushes is impressive. Will probably get some more stuff later on but I’m trying not to spend too much atm. |

I had a quick look in the catalogue but not much interests me because I already have heaps of similar stuff. I have one of the makeup bags (looks like the 3 piece weekender set in their catalogue) and it’s pretty good, I got it for $10 ages ago – cute animal print designs too. I’m sure I have something else by them too but can’t remember for the life of me…or maybe i’m confusing them with Target’s QVS line. I probably wouldn’t try their makeup except for the nail polishes (will have to see the colour range in store) but I remember looking at their hair styling tools and they look pretty cheap and nasty – you get what you pay for. If you’re on a tight budget, they’re probably better than other brands in the price range like BYS and Starlet but if you’ve got the money, it’s worth paying a little more to get something of much better quality – especially when it comes to hair styling tools. |

I bought one of the lipgloss pencils on StayC’s recommendation and I love it! YAY jayne, glad you like it too, they’re so glossy but still moisturising and just a bit more solid than a regular gloss. I just wish they had more colours as they are all pretty similar =( |

Stace, the pencils look so good! Loved your LOTD with them. I have been eyeing the mineral shadow duos. They look and feel really pigmented. They look like MAC mineralise duos and cost $12 something. I am waiting for priceline to have a sale so I can grab a few. |

I tried a lipstick of theres and it was really hard with barely any pigment. The eyeshadows were cakey too. This was from their original range though, not the updated range so it may have changed. I only bought it recently from priceline though. I’m thinking maybe the products were off or just bad quality. Waste of money cos I can’t use that lippy at all. :/ I’m interested to try some of their new products though. |

I went into priceline when I first found out about this brand launching and thought a lot of their products looked pretty good in quality. What really pushed me to buy one was their look book. A big book with four eye make up tutorials on how to get those certain looks and all the products next to each tutorial. |

I’ve tried one of their brushes, I got a small shader brush which they call a smudge brush, and in my opinion it’s quite good. |

Yeah the new range not only looks 100 times better than the old one but everything seems to actually be 100 times better. I always thought the old range just looked cheap and tacky, I’m happy to buy cheap makeup but I don’t want it to look too cheap =) |

I bought one of the lipgloss pencils on StayC’s recommendation and I love it! use Does the lipgloss have much fragrance/flavour to it? I usually only use Clinique on my lips because I can’t stand the taste of most lip products. |

Cat lover – the lip gloss pencil has no real frangrance or taste to it, if anything it has a really mild “plastic” taste, but I don’t find it offensive. |

I haven’t used their makeup but have noticed they have a huge section in priceline now. I did buy a set of brushes on sale last year for $5 that came in a hard case and really like them. |

I’m with jayne, nothing obvious in the taste or smell. I actually owned a Chanel lippy years ago that I just never wore as it had such a strong taste, not a huge fan of the taste of NYX round lippies either. I don’t mind the ones that have a deliberate scent or fragrance as long as it’s not rose or something similar. |

So here’s the crap palette I bought anyway. It looks so nice and that’s why I bought it. It’s a pitty it wasn’t any good. That palette was horrendous. It was powdery/cakey and made my eyes look wrinkly. The lipstick had no pigment whatsoever. I could rub it on and on and barely get any colour. It was hard and not moisturising or comfortable to use. I never usually give away makeup but this palette I gave away straight away. I’m thinking it could have been past the date OR bad batch OR the previous models prefer range was bad quality. Things have changed though and they have plenty of new products to choose from. Australis seems to be improving their quality too. |
