I am sure there are heaps of threads on this topic already, but just quickly I will say tea tree oil is the most effective natural remedy, and go for a sunscreen with zinc as the main ingredient, it won’t clog pores and create 1000 pimples, lol. I use Invisible Zinc.

I also recommend Invisible Zinc, i have acne-prone teenage skin and i have been using it for months now, it does not cause acne for me. A natural way of making your pimples heal faster would be to drink lots of water everyday, eat healthy and excercise!

i have acne prone skin and drinking lots of water definately helps, although the effects take a while to kick in, eventually your skin starts to clear up and get a nice glow to it.

i have had a problem with pimples and only a few months ago i started to use Clearasills Pimple Blocker Pen. this has become my favourite thing and its the only thing that worked for me. I wash my face with just soap (dove) and water and then apply the pen before i go to bed. In the morning i wake up redness is reduced and most of the puss and swelling is gone =) hope this helps!

Hi joOvi welcome to the forums darl, be careful using harsh products like Clearasil as they are extremely drying on your skin and it could come back and bite you years later, also I am concerned as you are only using soap on your face as well your skin could be really stripped of its natural oils which then causes more oil production resulting in more pimples. I hope you are using a good oil-free moisturiser to compensate :)

I can’t recommend a natural way to cure your pimples but for sunscreen i really like Ego Daily Face Matte 30+ sun screen! It doesn’t clog your pore or anything :) Although it says it’s matte but i find it still has a bit of a shine to it, not as bad as other sun screens though.

i have had a massiveee breakout over christmas (im talking about 5 big spots on my forhead and about 4 on the chin) i would say cetaphil is probably the best cleanser i can reccomend because it dosent have any soap to dry out the skin and is ph balanced..it is really helping my skin clear up. The neutrogena fight and fade gel is also helping but for some reason my pimples are tkaing longer to clear i think because they were so big to start with. Thirdly i agree with the other ladies invisible zinc is great and also neutrogena oil free moisture for combnation skin has been doing great for me.hope this helps a little :)

I can’t get over how many pimples I have gotten over the last 4 days, probably the worst breakout I have had in ages, yesterday morning I counted about 7 pimples and a couple of them were still just comming up. Last night I ended up getting out my Dermalogica Sebum Clearing Masque coz I always have it on hand when my skin gets out of order, this stuff works wonders at stopping those zits dead in their tracks. This morning I am alot happier with my skin it is clearing up and no sign of any new pimples forming. All self inflicted, lol, also I have been using a glycolic cleanser for the last couple of days, I felt that I need something with some extra punch to give my pores a really deep cleanse :) I used the ASAP Cleanser.

I’ve had 2 large huge lumps on my chin, actually just near my mouth! Hate them, dabbed a bit of toothpaste on as that was all I had, and it helped a little! Hormones are terrible.

the natural way is always the best. I have worked as a therapist for 24 years and have seen it all… pimples are a pain but there are real organic solutions that wont dry out your skin or disturb your PH, which is really important. tea tree oil can become very drying for the skin around the pimples, even though it has anti bacterial qualities. Essential oils by the way only have all the beneficial qualities when they are therapeutic A grade and not solvent extracted. cheap essential oils dont do anythng at all, but smell like they do. there is a great product that has been out for about 12 months, it was recommended to me and they have a subscription site up for the moment. great group of people working towards really effective natural skincare. I love my products and they are sensational for pimples and 100% natural. if you email them the owner emails you back and you get a free consult with her, she is very insightful, worth having a look at its eliwilsonlivingskincare.com

My mum and aunty sometimes makes me this soup its really nice but idk wat its called but they say its meant to help get rid of my pimples but I cant really see a difference lol. (Maybe its coz my fringe is covering my forehead most of the time which creates pimples) :S

I love Lush products and they have a brand new product just released which helps with spots and has witch hazel in it.
I think I will get some.
At Lush, buy a new product and get a bag of 5 free samples.

I mainly get pimples around my jawline and under my chin and some on my neck. These are the ones I worry about cos they are the hormonal ones and look really bad (they are not big acne ones but still red and pus-filled). I get more whiteheads than blackheads.
I used to be a really bad picker but now I just pop the really obvious ones in the shower and clean my face and hands straight after. I wear makeup every day so I guess thats why I am not bothered too much. As long has I have my makeup on hand lol!

I was at the beautician yesterday to buy some mineral makeup and we got chatting and she asked me if I wanted to have a high frequency facial thing done as she needed volunteers for her apprentices to learn…I’m excited, she said it will definately help to clear up my skin…i’ll let you know if it works :)

I only have to pay $5 for the treatment…she said they have a hard time finding girls who want to have facials and stuff done for the juniors to learn.

Speaking of pimples, all my pimples are just big red ugly scars now.
Anyone know (apart from time and makeup) how to help the skin heal faster, I am feeling really ugly and self conscious. Next month they will be back again.

Bio Oil? but I dont know how many people use it on their face. Its meant to be really good for skin healing and diminishing scars. I cant use it on my face cos i have oily skin and it will just create more pimples for me. Cant tell yet if I am going to have scars, but I did not have full blown acne so hopefully not.
