What do i have?

Lately my gums and jaw have been hurting me (thank god for panadol), around my teeth my gums are swollen and red. i don’t have trouble eating or drinking. i think my wisdom teeth are coming out but mum says it’s a gum infection. What do you think?

where exactly is the swollen gum? is it behind the tooth at the back of the mouth or is it around a few teeth? depending where it is it could be different things. also, do you get a foul taste in your mouth?

I think you might be a little young for wisdom teeth since in your other forum posts you said you were in high school. Generally wisdom teeth are late teens, early twenties. We are not doctors so we can’t tell you what’s wrong. Your best bet is to ask the doctor, or go see a dentist :) In the mean time make sure you brush and floss at least twice a day, and use a mouth wash.

This particular post was probably the 10th so by that stage we felt that it was possibly an “alert moderator” This one particular one was probably the only one that actually had some chance of being a genuine question as opposed to what most of us felt was posting for points, no more, no less.
I hope I haven’t overstepped the mark with my answer but I decided you deserved to know what had happened.

It took me a couple of minutes to see what these posts were about too since i didn’t see them right after they were made. And I think Trish accidently used the wrong word with just using the word ‘post’ since Scrumptious123 was making lots of new threads with just one line as the starting point. Some were as simple as what is your fav mascara?, and two of them were about getting wisdom teeth and as the night wore on , she made more threads and never replied to her own when people started to comment on them.

Elunia you’re completely right – thanks for picking it up, it should have read “threads.” Thanks too for not over-reacting to my reply. I thought about it for some time before replying but I’d decided Scrumptious123 was sufficiently bizarre with the new threads that it needed an answer for anyone who hadn’t seen what was happening from the beginning.

I know what you mean when you said that you thought about your reply for a while before posting it.
When looking at the girls repies later on in that same night I could piece together what was happening. But looking at it now where you can no longer see what was happening at the time you can be forgiven for thinking that the BH users replies to the thread were unjust and mean and good on you for making sure that the situation is understood by those who weren’t there :)

This happens every so often, some people thought that when Scrumptious123 started making new threads that they were genuine and some did reply with sincere answers. Maybe this was one was a genuine question…. We won’t know until/if she replies…

Why do people bother doing this sort of thing??? Seriously, BH is the best site I have ever been on and I am becoming addicted to it and the forums and chatting with all of you.

It is very sad and disspointing to see people trying to ruin this or hacking whatever it is they are doing. Get a life and go do something!!!
