Hey Zoeyy…unfortunately the ‘yellow’ appearance of teeth is something that happens with age. Usually middle aged and older complain about this appearance. When you are a child/teenager/20’s you have a good coating of enamel on your teeth. this is the outer tooth surface and is very strong. As you get older, this surface thins and the dentine (the structure underneath the enamel) begins to show through. the dentine is naturally yellow in appearance. |

if the yellow stains you speak of are tobacco stains then these can be removed by a scale and polish or air abrasion from your dentist. Please try not to use this bicarbonate of soda to brush with. Long term use is very detrimental to the tooths enamel (outer layer) and should be avoided. It is good at oxidising stains on the enamel but works in the same way as whitening toothpastes and abrades the tooth surface making it more porous. Always use a fluoride toothpaste. |

I recommend Crest WhiteStrips – try eBay for these. I do recommend you use Sensodyne toothpaste for a week before and during your whitening process. The box recommends leaving the strips on morning and night but because my teeth are sensitive I just used them at night. It took a bit longer but I found them really effective. The whitening toothpastes are a waste of money in my opinion. |

Yellow teeth is very common problem which can be because of several reasons such as due to drinking lots of tea, coffee, smoking. You should avoid all these things and brush your teeth properly. you can also try teeth whiteners to make your teeth white. |
