I buy these from Go-Lo or The Reject Shop.. they are pretty cheap.. i think about $4..Being cheap they are really good because they dont chip as much as you think they would.. I have the new Neon Pink, Kung Fu Blue and Shimmer Golden Sands… all of which are great colours, hardly chip and for only $4 a bottle are a great buy.. I think you can also get them from K-Mart.

:o)

Yeh I’ve seen them at kmart, but have always been too afraid to buy :( Have you tried the nail art laquers? They look interesting!

For my dollar I prefer Ulta3, although BYS is quite good considering the price, on the nails they aren’t true to the colour in the bottle

I’m not a fan of these polishes…I am pretty rough on my hands in that I don’t wash up with gloves or anything like that so I need a polish with more staying power.

Ive just finished mowing the lawn, doing dishes and hanging clothes on the line… and my nail polish from BYS is still intact.

I’m with you I have tried BYS and it doesn’t last more than a few hours on my hands. I have gotten a couple of Ulta3 ones that I am yet to try, for the price it was worth trying :) I have now got a huge collection of expensive ones that last at least a few days but I would kill to find a budget brand that is just as good, hehe. will have to post back my thoughts when I get around to trying them :)

Don’t let me burst your bubble but the staying power is only slightly better with the ulta3…..at least on me any way! however I will say that for $2 if you are after lots of colours and don’t mind changing your polish often then Ulta3 could be good. Also not a fan of polishes that are transparent and quite a few of the Ulta3’s are just that!!!

I have good quality base and top coats as well so will be definitely using them when I try my Ulta3 ones, thanks for the tip Melissa, all in all though if I don’t like them it is only $4 that I have wasted, i can live with that ;)

Mode from price attack are great as they are bright and long lasting and they are $2-$4 depending when you get them :)

They’ve got some great colours, they’re a great price but every time I open the bottles I get a headache and therefore would rather pay more to do my nails in comfort.

I was also disappointed with their crackle range too, don’t know if it was just me but the crackle effect was zero effective no matter how many ways I tried to get it to work. :\

I love BYS Nail Polishes! I usually buy them from Reject Shops as a set. I also have purple crackle nail polish. It gives a great effect but sometimes when I paint a clear coat over it, some of it wipes off…

I hate BYS nail polishes. I used to love them as a teenager because they had the best range of dark gothic colours (i’ve tried every one of their blacks, dark greys, and dark purples :P) and it’s no wonder I painted my nails every couple of days – they chip so easily! I can’t stand them now. Thin formula that goes gluggy after a while, always chips and don’t get me started on their top coat. Even if you use a decent nail polish and their top coat it will ruin your polish and make it peel and bubble. I avoid them now. Ultra 3 are better with some colours (some Ultra 3 colours are just as bad) so I pay a bit more to get nail polish that lasts me a week instead of a day or two – works out cheaper in the long run.

I’ve only JUST started using Ultra3 and NYC … and I get them at $2 a bottle. I’ve always used expensive brands … and am ALWAYS wanting to change my colour … I usually want to change within 2-3 days! So the staying power of these cheaper brands are PERFECT for me!

I’m still trying out the range … but so far … have LOVED every colour I’ve used!

I like the bys glitter nail polishs, my fave is a clear one with chucks of glitter it in it. I use it sometimes over any nail colour I choose at the time. I also have a pink glitter and a gold glitter one. What i don’t like are the coloured nail polishs, the formula isn’t nice and doesn’t last. It also applies streaky. I use revlon, opi, nicole by opi, sally hanson and I don’t mind bloom. I’ve seen ulta3s at terry white, but atm I have to many polishs I have to use up before I buy more.

I have some BYS polishes, but Ulta3s are a lot better! I don’t have any issues with them chipping and the colours are fantastic!
