i find tinted moisturisers good because if you get a bit of real sun they tend to blend well and look real natural, however ive heard some streak and look more orange than others… eg) there is dove, johnson&johnson, nivea etc… ive just started using a le tan one… which do you use and what are the pros and cons?

for my face i use – garnier bb cream, a lightweight daily tinted SPF 15+ moisturiser, it’s actually replaced my foundation i used to use daily.. it hides redness and blemishes really well. i also use it as a base for my foundation.
for my body, i used to use johnson & johnson, but you are correct, it tends to go a tad bit orange depending on how much you put on, sunsense have a awesome range, and they have really nailed the ‘brown’ colour, their self tanning system everyday radiance is a moisturiser that gradually builds a light tan..

thanks! ive also got the garnier bb cream, it works well but i’m not sure if i just prefer nivea tinted moisturizer, it seems a little less greasy and easier to spread! i’ll have to check out sunsense :) xx

Does anyone know what the Aveeno one is like compared to the Garnier BB cream? I have thee BB cream too and I quite like it but sometimes I wonder if its a bit too… yellow… for my skintone and I’m wondering ig the Aveeno one is a bit more pink based…
Sorry if thats a stupid question, I just want to know before I buy it as its a bit expensive (for me anyway haha)

I am using the Garnier BB Cream at the moment and it appears to really suit my skin. I am interested in trying the Aveeno one next.

NOT a stupid question, Lula. Aveeno is on special at Priceline and I am going to check it out. Wish they had testers for ALL makeup, not just some of the products.

I have just started using the Nivea one and I really like it! It seems to give nice coverage and is the right colour – a subtle brown! which is perfect :) (and my skin is very light to begin with)
I wanted to try the BB cream but haven’t got around to it

Me too Stefaneigh! I’m looking forward to trialling the BB cream … I have to finish off my Dove first tho! Can’t wait! lol.

Me too. I mean, I understand why they don’t have testers for everything, but sometimes I buy products that just don’t suit me at all and it feels like a waste of money (precious, precious money ha-ha).
Tell me what its like if you get it :)

Hi, Lula and Bek316 – I bought the Aveeno positively radiant tinted moisturiser in fair to light and it’s brilliant. I’m quite fair skinned and it blended beautifully and has stayed looking good all day. I feel that it is comparable to the Clinique one that is around $50.00. Only draw back is just 2 shades and I haven’t yet seen a tester in any shops. I’m about to do a review.

Thanks for sharing Trish_D! Hmm… I’m tempted to get it now even though I’m meant to be on a spending ban… oh well :)

FINALLY got me a Garnier BB Cream!! I’m definitely liking it so far … haven’t reeeeally noticed a difference in my skin itself but application and staying power is pretty good for a moisturiser. I do find the darker tone is still a tiny tint too light for my skintone … wish they had an even darker one that I could perhaps mix to get my perfect match!?
My fave aspect of this cream is the SPF! Love only having to apply this and not a layer of sunscreen BEFORE everything else! :D

I like the L’Oreal one. It’s quite light (I have quite fair skin). It’s not thick. I’ve tried others that have been too thick and too dark.

I personally prefer bb cream to tinted moisturizer, but I have terribly oily and blemish prone skin.

I’m with you on that, Captain Dan! As a recent convert to Garnier BB cream I would say that you really have to find a bb cream that is suitable for your particular skin type to be happy with the result.

I am using Garniver BB Cream and Nivea tinted moisturiser.
Between these 2, I prefer bb Cream as it is much lighter in texture than tinted moisturiser.
But I would recommend you to go for an Asian brand BB cream as it works best.

If all else fails just mix a light moisturiser with your foundation!
I like Dove’s tinted moisturiser (though I think it only comes in the one shade) but my favourite is probably Nivea’s.

I’ve been looking for a tinted moisturiser to use during the week for work rather than using liquid foundation and Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier keep popping up during my searches. Does anyone have experience with TMs in either of these brands? I’m fairly pale and have a hard enough time finding a foundation to match my skin!
