Blind Pimple Help!

Hello!

Ever since puberty I seem to be the kid who got stuck with blind pimples that constantly look like I am turning into a unicorn and my horn is trying to grow through my forehead.

No matter how many different cleaners, creams, toners or exfoliating creams I use, nothing seems to ever really get rid of them. I know popping them can be bad and leave scars (already have a few of those from getting really impatient with blind pimples) but is there a easy trick to get rid of them?

Any holy grail products or diy tips and tricks would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks 🙂

I suffer from cystic acne as well around a certain time of the month and I find using the glam glow mask and every night I use the Mario Badescu drying lotion and that helps to reduce the pimple and help reduce the redness as well…

only con is glamglow is super expensive… 🙁

I agree with Krystal-Leigh as well, never squeeze or pick at it, only makes it more red and agitated and actually spreads the bacteria that causes more acne to appear…

ive never used tea tree oil – I might give that a go as well… 🙂

    Hello,

I’ve suffered from cystic acne and I think that’s what you are referring to when you say blind pimples? There’s so many names that it can get confusing. If it is then I’ve come across Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion spot treatment which has been helpful. Mario Badescu’s Drying Lotion has a cult following but their Buffering Lotion is specifically designed for cystic acne. Good luck. 🙂

I love Bioré cleansers. They’re cheap from the supermarket. I switch between their Warming Anti-Blackhead Cleanser & their mandarin scented Blemish Clearing Scrub. I usually just get a single premenstrual pimple nowadays. If I ever feel the beginnings of a pimple, I hit it straight away with Clearasil or whatever topical zit cream you like. Anything with Benzoyl Peroxide.

One thing my Aunty taught me: when the instructions say to “apply to the affected area”, that does NOT mean just the pimple itself, as I always used to think. If you’ve got a pimple on your forehead, the affected area is your forehead!

You mentioned you get them on your forehead. I was always told in my teens that I shouldn’t wear a fringe because I’m blemish prone, yet my forehead is the one area I rarely if ever had a zit. My fringe gets oilier than the rest of my hair. I think my fringe mops up the excess oil, saving me from getting zits on my forehead. Have you got a fringe?

DO NOT SQUEEZE IT. I REPEAT DO NOT SQUEEZE IT. The worst thing you can do is squeeze a blind pimple. I know from experience. I did it and then my skin like ripped off and i had a scab. Totally would have preferred the pimple. You might find this weird but using ORGANIC COCONUT OIL is amazing for your skin. and your hair, and cooking its simply an amazing product. Give it a try.

I mainly get mine on my chin but what I do is I get a hot towel and leave that on until it gets cold coz it does reduce the look of it and apply my Benzac acne/pimple cream (that can be drying so be careful if you buy it) and regularly cleaning my face and doing masks always helps.

Ok, I don’t usually get blind pimples, but coincidently, I had one last week. I used 100% Pure Tea Tree Oil from Thursday Plantation (I bought my 10mL bottle from Chemist Warehouse) and it was amazing. First it made the pain go away, then it made the puffy redness go down, and after 24 hours (not kidding), the blind pimple was gone. I think they should rename their Tea Tree Oil and call it Miracle Oil, because that’s what it’s like! 🙂 So I’d give it a shot if I were you. And if it doesn’t work, you won’t have wasted your money, because Tea Tree Oil is a disinfectant which you can use around the house as well. #doublepurpose
