Less Intense!

Leaves mouth & breath fresh and clean.
Love how its not so intense, i must have sensitive tastebuds as i cannot handle the intense feeling with other mouthwashes.

I love the fact that this is less intense. Whereas before it was too much for someone like who has sensitive teeth. Using this product alongside your normal maintenance of teeth care really makes a difference I say.

That's what I have been looking for

My family has been using the Green Listerine one, that one that will hit you with a blast of strong taste of alcohol. Since Listerine introduced this product, I gave it a try and my young brother loves it, he totally changed his altitude about the product and now is using mouthwash more often.
I personally love this, as it does not contain alcohol and does not give the spicy taste in your mouth, will definitely buy it again.

Minty freshness

Listerine has outdone its self this time, I absolutely love the new Listerine mouth wash! It's great for people who are sensitive to the minty taste, its does the job or freshening your breathe and leaving your mouth feeling clean!

Great for everyday use and love the minty freshness flavour!

REALLY LOVE

I was very excited for this because the other mouth washes were always to strong! This one does the same thing as the rest, but is easy on the mouth. I use it everyday and it makes me feel great because it keeps my breath smelling great and my teeth shining and strong.

Minty fresh

Great mouthwash! I always found regular mouthwashes a bit harsh- and could def never swirl it round in my mouth for the 30 seconds or so stated on the bottle.... this mouthwash is so different compared to other mouthwashes, it doesn't sting or burn at all- gives you minty fresh breath without being to overpowering... Its a shame its more expensive than the other ones!!

Less intense - Great idea

Finally I can use mouthwash! I have no problem with using this, it gets everything out of my mouth so it feels really clean. I use it everyday after brushing and my mouth just doesn't feel clean unless I use it. Having no alcohol in it is a bonus.

great for heat sensitive mouths!

I'm really sensitive to "hot" as in too minty, chilli etc and can find it really hard to find the right mouth wash. this one is great, isnt too intense and i can actually handle it! LOVE

A good product but the Original is still number one for me

After using this product my mouth does feel clean but it does not feel as clean as using the Original line up of Listerine mouthwashes.
It is great for those who find the original line up too strong for their palette but I am going to move back to the original line, plus the Original line up of Listerine products are made in Australia whilst these new formula ones are made in Thailand so since I don't mind the Original flavours I am more than happy supporting Aussie jobs :)

I like it!

Recently we've heard bad news regarding alcohol in mouth wash, so it's great to have a product from Listerine that does the job without the alcohol. Not sure that it kills germs as well as the 'alcoholic' versions, but is still leaves the mouth lovely and fresh.

Easy peesy

This is so fantastic for me becuase my teeth are so senstive. Im so glad that Listerine thought reduce the intensity but no quality. I love it, Now I dont have excuse for not rinse my mouth and teeth after brushing. I even do it after meals too :)

Low Intensity

I have used most of the Listerine mouth washes. This is very light on the pallet but it still delivers a clean rinse gargle. It did take me a little while to like this product. I used it as a mouthwash because I had a wisdom tooth pulled, I wanted a gentler mouth disinfectant as to not sting my gum. It was excellent in that regard and my gum healed nicely. The kids find this a better Listerine to use as they do not like the intense tingling the other Listerine's cause. I like the fact it comes in different bottle sizes, this is very convenient for me as I like to have a few different sorts of Listerine on hand. This was really great to use when I needed a thorough mouth clean after eating when my gum was sore and angry after the tooth pull, a good swish had all the foreign matter cleaned out.

great mouthwash

This is way less intense than the original one, which I love because it doesn't burn my mouth anymore yay! I use this at night when I brush my teeth and it leaves my mouth with a fresh breath and a squeaky clean feeling. This will now become a part of my routine.

Like the original better

I like this product, as I got a sample when I bought the original listerene. However, I don't think that it is as good. My breath is not as minty fresh, which I think is a requirement of mouthwashes!

Fresh Breath Without The Burn!

Love this new product from Listerine! It freshens your breath and helps with oral hygiene.. yet doesn't have the same burning sensation that traditional mouthwashes have. I quite like it's minty taste - not too overpowering. I"ve never liked in the past how the other washes contained alcohol... so its great that Listerine has now meet the demand of the market and produced a great alcohol free alternative!

a good change

I like the concept of alcohol free mouthwash but overall I've realised I miss the more intense sensation from regular mouthwash. I think it's because I've associated that sensation with getting the best clean effects from mouthwash. This product still leaves my mouth feeling cleaner for longer with fresh breath.

Part of my daily routine

I use this product twice daily.
I always brush and floss first and then follow up with a gargle of Listerine. This Zero is wonderful as even though for me it becomes a bit intense after being in your mouth for a while its no where near as dramatic as the standard product.
I always gargle with this product if i feel i have a sore throat coming on and perhaps its just my imagination but i feel it helps calm things.
If you keep your eyes open often Listerine have specials where if you purcahse one of the larger bottles of this product you can get a small travel sized one or a toothbrush fof free. The travel sized products are wonderful for weekends away.

Niiiice!

I really like this mouth wash. It is delightful in flavour and lasts a long time without that burn. Your mouth feels so awesome after using it. I think I would still keep a bottle of the original too, as I don't mind that crazy painful burning in my mouth every now and then just to really awaken my taste buds haha but yes definitely a top product that everyone would love!

Disappointing

Maybe I'm just used to the "explosion" in my mouth but this sort of let me down. Yes it leaves the mouth feeling clean but there's no surprise. It's not unpleasant and I can see how a lot of people would prefer this to the normal Listerine but it's not for me. I prefer the intensity of the original Listerine.

Listerine Zero is a Winner

I have used so many mouth washes over the years and they are all pretty yuk! I suffer from mouth ulcers caused by medication so my mouth is always sore. The new Dentist I went to told me to switch to the Listerine Zero which would help me and strengthen my teeth as well.
Imagine my surprise when I took the first mouthful and no pain. This has to be the most gentle but effective mouth wash I have ever tried.

Fresh

I really like new listerine zero, I was concerned using an alcahol based mouthwash was damaging the sensitive skin in my mouth but still loved the freshness of using a mouthwash. Listerine zero is a great idea , It leaves your mouth feeling fresh ,tastes great and is gentle at the same time, I have used it for over 6 months and will continue to use it :)

Clean feeling, bright teeth

I liked this mouthwash. I sometimes find mouthwash a but too strong but this has a less intense taste than other mouthwashes. I would have preferred a slightly more minty taste but at the end of the day it left my breath, mouth and teeth feeling fresh and clean which is what counts. I love the fact it's alcohol free.

Zero Alcohol

I like this listerine product over the others as it has no alcohol in it, so it doesn't dry my mouth out or have the burning effect the other's have. The smooth mint flavour is nice and lingers for a long time after rinsing too. My mouth is left feeling fresh and clean, definitely worth a try if you don't like the traditional mouthwashes!!

not my favourite

I personally don't like listerine at all.I think the taste is to stong and burns your mouth when it's meant to leave you refreshed. I do not recommend this product.

A definite must have!

I am in love with this product! I got to trial this for BH and it really is great.

Listerine Zero leaves my mouth feeling minty fresh whilst killing all the germs.

You just need to rinse this in your mouth for 30 seconds and then spit it out. It has a light burning sensation which is pleasant actually, and thats it, your mouth is clean.

It leaves a nice clean mint, taste and feel and I love it!

Listerine Zero

I was lucky enough to be part of the trial team for Listerine Zero. I've never used Listerine before so I thought it would be interesting to try, especially having seen all the commercials.
Maybe its because I hadn't tried this before that I thought this stuff was super intense. I can't imagine what the classic formula is like because I simply could not swish it around in my mouth for 30 seconds (as stated by the instructions) without feeling like my mouth was on fire. Personally, as a first time user, I felt that 10 seconds was sufficient, even after getting used to it (I'm about half way down the bottle now).
Despite this I think its a good product. I have left the bathroom with a very refreshed feeling in my mouth every morning and night, and squeaky clean teeth. I mean this literally - when I rubbed my finger across my teeth afterwards they actually squeaked!
I would recommend this product for others.

Always read the label....

Oh dear - a mouthwash that uses sodium saccharin and sucralose (both with links to all sorts of awful things in labrats) isn't something I want to see on a product that goes in my mouth. No alcohol (like the standard Listerine) is probably a good thing and means there's a less intense burn, but I'd still run far, far away from this product.

Zero To Hero

I use to dread using mouthwash. I hate that hot, burning sensation that would make your eyes water and mouth sting. So I just didn't use it. But then Beautyheaven sent me a bottle of Listerine Zero to trial. I now have a twice daily mouthwash habit. And I couldnt be happier...nor could my dentist!
Listerine Zero has a really plesant minty flavour, swishes around your mouth with ease - without making you want to cry. My teeth feel cleaner for longer - it's like a breath of fresh air - quite literally.
I love love LOVE this and will DEFINITELY be purchasing this when it runs out.

New Listerine Zero Alcohol

Finally they listened to people & introduced an alcohol free version of their mouthwash. I'm sure it'll become very popular.
I'd like to see more flavours introduced however - it still has that distinct 'listerine' taste - which isn't minty as such - but just a bit antisepticky. Major improvement however with the alcohol component removed - and does leave mouth feeling fresh without stinging. I like it and will repurchase in the future - especially if a spearmint flavour is added to the alcohol free range.

From Zero to Hero

Like most I was delighted to be able to try this product as sometimes I find the taste of standard mouthwash a little too explosive, so the idea of a non alcohol mouthwash was something I was really looking forward to trailing. Like all Listerine products it comes in a great sized bottle (I am a big fan of purchasing larger sizes of products that I use regularly) You can tell instantly from the lightly tinted colour of the mouthwash that there is something different inside the bottle, and you’re not wrong. It essentially tastes like standard Listerine products, minty and fresh however where I notice the biggest difference is afterwards, Listerine Zero still leaves you mouth feeling fresh and clean however doesn’t leave that real choking vapor in your throat. So what’s not to love when the product does exactly what you expect from the trusted Listerine brand however without all the bad side effects? That’s right….. Nothing

I love much about this product, apart from been alcohol free, it also doesn't make you want to gag like most. It is somewhat strong although not as strong as it's cousins....

No pain!

In the past I have used mouthwash products but I have never enjoyed the process due to the burning sensation in my mouth, it was way too intense for me. I would struggle to keep the regular formula in my mouth for the normal timeframe due to the burning sensation and I felt like I was causing damage to lining in my mouth, instead of assisting my oral hygiene.

Listerine Zero comes in a 500ml bottle and I use the safety cap as a measuring device. It has a very pleasant subtle, minty flavour, and it has a softer aroma than the regular mouthwash and it is also, noticeably lighter in colour.
I am pleased to report that Listerine zero is an awesome mouthwash, it has been made without the alcohol properties, so in a nutshell, it is painless. On my first trial, which I used after brushing my teeth, I was really hesitant on taking my first mouth full. I was expecting a mouth explosion of pain but instead I had a pleasant cool effect going on in my gob. I swished the formula around in my mouth for about 30 seconds, which, I think is the recommended timeframe, and joyfully, I had no explosion, no pain, and no burning sensation. After using the mouthwash, my mouth felt clean and fresh. I had a minty after taste but my mouth didn’t feel dry and harsh and striped of all it’s lubricants in the process of killing germs and bacteria.
So now we can all enjoy using a mouthwash product that doesn’t hurt or burn, there is no need to have to tolerate an unpleasant experience to gain the benefits of fresh breath.

The be all and end all in Mouthwash

Thanks BH for the opportunity to trial this product ~ i'm not a regular user of mouthwash, it always burns my throat and makes my eyes water !
I was excited to trial this as it promises 'less intense' ~ this is certainly the case ~ it tasted great !
I used morning and night after brushing/flossing ~ lots of swishing, lots of gargling and just a great minty taste ~ no burning no feeling like my mouth was going to explode. The Fluoride is a bonus as we are on tank water at home ~ no fluoride in the water ! My breath felt fresh and clean for at least an hour after use and my teeth felt super clean.
I am trying to be more discerning about which products i give 5 stars and save it for the ones that i REALLY REALLY love ~ this qualifies, super product ~ wouldn't hesitate to recommend :)

A hero product with zero alcohol

I’ve been using this particular product for just over a week but have previously used other Listerine mouth washes for many years.

This is a non alcoholic version of its brothers that are out in the market, and is marketed as a less intense version of the original mouth wash.

It is awesome for anyone who wants to have clean teeth and healthy gum and mouth but cannot stand the sting and intensity of the full strength mouth wash.

It comes in its usual packaging, a slender bottle with a screw-down twist cap – the medicine kind to make it child proof so they don’t accidently open it up and is a green fluid.

Despite having no alcohol, it was still quite strong in intensity which is a very refreshing minty taste but is definitely milder compared to the alcoholic versions so I find it easier to gargle for the whole 30 seconds with this mouth wash so I get the same protection as the full strength mouth washes.

It also contains fluoride to help strengthen teeth enamel and helps to give a fresh breath which is always good to have.

Trial Team Review

I must admit to not having liked Listerine products ever due to the 'big bang' factor, the stuff literally felt like it was burning the inside of my mouth out. THANK GOD THEY MADE THIS PRODUCT! I LOVE IT. Finally I can have the Listerine clean without feeling like I'm gargling acid!

I'm back on to using mouthwash now!!!

I was pretty keen to try out the listerine zero mouthwash especially when I read that it was meant to be a less intense version of a product that I had tried before. I pretty well gave up on Listerine mouthwash a while ago because it would make my eyes water so bad that I never felt like using it in the mornings. Especially when that would mean my make-up would suffer.

Cool minty freshness

I was so excited to try this product out. Listerine Zero came in a large 500 ml bottle. The liquid is a clear blue colour. It was easy to use. I filled the cap 1/2 - 3/4 full and swished for a good 30 seconds after brushing and flossing every morning and night. According to directions its best to not eat or drink for 30 minutes after use. Listerine zero has a minor less intense hit while using compared to other Listerine mouthwashes, though I do like the other strong Listerine products because I can feel the germs being killed, but my eyes would sometimes water and Id get a bit reluctant to swish right around my mouth because of its strong intense flavour.Though Listerine Zero has less intensity, it still feels as though its giving a thorough clean with a good gargle and I could feel germs being attacked.Breath felt fresher for longer Listerine Zero has a fresh minty, pleasant taste. It has zero alcohol and contains fluoride to prevent cavities. I believe it would be a good investment for your teeth to use long term from the positive results Ive had so far from using this product. Ive noticed my teeth and gums feeling stronger. When I spit it out, I could see food particles removed (sorry if that grosses you out!) that otherwise would be stuck in my teeth. Ive felt more confident with my teeth after using this product and not so afraid to smile!
Was a complete pleasure to trial this product and I would definately use it again. Thank you beauty heaven for allowing me to trial this product and promoting good dental hygiene. I loved trialling Listerine Zero.

Alcohol free and great tasting

Thanks to Beauty Heaven and Listerine for allowing me to trial the new Listerine Zero. My family always use a mouthwash twice a day so it was great to trail one that is alcohol free. Initially whilst gargling I could really tell the difference from other mouth washes in that there was no overpowering minty antiseptic feeling. After a while the minty freshness kicked in and my mouth felt clean and refreshed. I love knowing that this product is alcohol free and definitely will purchase in future over mouthwashes containing alcohol.

Well balanced

I’m a big fan of mouthwash, I’ve tried practically all the ones on the market, but you can not beat the Listerine brand & for the past couple of years I’ve been using Total Care (purple mouthwash). In terms of mouthwashes, this is the granddaddy of them all, it claims to do everything (including whiten teeth) & it certainly packs a punch, so needless to say when I was asked to trial the Zero, I went in tentatively. Surely this mouthwash with no alcohol & less intense flavour wouldn’t match up to my normal Total Care.

First of all the intensity is about 1/3 of my normal mouthwash, which shocked me at first, being used to the strength of Total Care, it almost felt like it wasn’t enough & it wouldn’t be effective. However after a couple of uses, it grew on me. I normally find the Total Care to actually be too much & end up rinsing my mouth with water after use. Also an hour after using the Zero the minty flavour is gone so there’s no effect on anything you eat, another huge bonus.

Secondly I found there was little to no decrease in my mouth & teeth health. No ulcers (which I get sometimes when I’m not being as vigilant), my teeth still felt smooth & clean & even just as white.

Lastly I love that there’s no alcohol. I’m no scientist, so I don’t know what the real long term effects of alcohol in mouthwash is, but I had seen an article earlier in the year linking alcohol in mouthwashes to cancer, which is always a scary thought & no matter how small a chance of this occurrence, it’s definitely not worth the risk. If anything the no alcohol is at least reassuring, gives me peace of mind that I’m not harming my long term health.

I really like this product & while it took a few days to get used to, I think it’ll be my new everyday mouth wash, with the Total Care being reserved for special occasions.

Listerine Zero

First thing I thought when I saw the bottle was that it looked very chunky and manly. I like the pretty light blue colour it looks refreshing. I did not however like the cap. It is so annoying that everytime you have to make sure you fingers are on the cap in the correct spot and to squeeze as you open.

One of the best

Listerine have a great reputation with their products however I used to stay away from many because they were either too strong and/or had alcohol. This new mouthwash is outstanding. Not only does it have a lovely flavour that is not at all overpowering it doesn't have any alcohol so safe for the whole family.

Nevertheless, the minty after taste is welcoming and noticeable. My mouth felt really fresh after using it.

I used to hate the sting from other mouthwashes and dilute them. Then I'd worry I wasn't getting maximum health benefits.

Listerine Zero is such a winner that I'm sold on having it as a fixture in my bathrooms. It was such a joy to trial.

A milder mouthwash option

I admit, I haven't used a mouthwash in years. I just haven't been able to bear the typically over-strong taste. Listerine Zero, however, may just have lured me back into being a mouthwash fan!

The strength is just right. Enough to give you minty fresh breath, but a lot milder than regular Listerine and other mouthwashes I have tried. My mouth felt fresh and clean, although it had a slight, short-lived numbing effect on my tongue.

As well as freshening your breath, it protects gums and helps prevent cavities. Great to add to your dental routine, either after brushing or for a quick freshen up when brushing your teeth isn't an option.

Listerine® Zero™

As an ex-smoker I am extremely paranoid about my breath... I've never been a huge fan of mouth wash in the past especially with the unpleasant anti-septic raw feeling you usually get. However, the new Listerine® Zero™ is fantastic - (thank you BH for opening my eyes to another fab product) I was so surprised as it's quite gentle with a definite clean feeling that is long lasting. Using morning and night after brushing and flossing I feel completely confident that I have fresh breath :-) The clear plastic bottle is easy to open (hurrah!) and great value for money under $10 you can't go wrong. Great addition to your morning and evening bathroom routine!

A gentle safe mouthwash

I was very thrilled when I received the bottle of Listerine Zero to trial. While Im not a frequent user of mouth wash, I always have a bottle handy – but I have to say that my reason for not using this frequently is due to the alcohol contents in most products, and the fact that I do not normally suffer from bad breath – so to see a product free from alcohol made me very excited.
I like strong burning mint flavour, something that really wakes you up, but with the Listerine Zero I found it to be a much more subtle minty flavour, so much less intense – which I have to say for me does give the product a few negative points, I simply like that I can still taste the minty freshness 30 minutes later, and with the Zero, any taste very quickly disappeared.
Having said that, I still felt that the product was very effective, and felt my teeth and mouth was extra clean, and no trace of bad breath regardless of what I had had eaten earlier. Is the Zero as effective as ie other Listerine products containing alcohol – I am not sure, but with all the bad press about mouth washes containing too much alcohol, and hence should not be frequently used, shouldn’t be given to children etc, it is no surprise that Listerine has brought out a non-alcohol version, smart move. And I have to say, as I am already very wary of the products containing alcohol, I have already made my swap – the remainder of existing bottle with alcohol from my bathroom cabinet has been poured down the sink – and even if the Zero was not to be quite as effective, Im convinced that it’s a sacrifice worth taking, given the benefits of this product. All I could wish for was a version with a stronger mint flavour!
The mouthwash comes in the usual type of bottle, which is very easy to open, actually a lot easier than others, but again this may be due to the non-alcohol contents, and hence no reason to keep safe from children. But like other mouthwashes, I always gets frustrated as I’ve the products for a few days, and the neck of the bottle starts to get stick as the lid is being used as the measuring cup is put back on the bottle – it would be nice if somebody would design their bottle so this wouldn’t happen!

Nice and minty without the sting

Always brush your teeth before using mouthwash as it gives an extra clean feeling and taste. Great for every day use and especially great for a first date.

Prefer this to other mouthwashes

I've never been keen on mouthwashes because of the strong taste, so I was very interested to give this one a try. It is definitely less intense than normal mouthwashes. Others can be so strong that they are almost sickening but Listerine Zero was very mild in flavour. Despite this mildness I didn't feel that its effectiveness was in any way reduced. It was refreshing without being too harsh and my mouth felt very clean after using it.
I was also pleased to see that it had no alcohol. Considering there had been some controversy about the ingredients of mouthwashes, it's great to see this being addressed by Listerine.
The 500ml bottle is a good size. Used morning and night it lasted about two weeks. Of all the mouthwashes available, I would certainly get this one again.

Love the taste

I was eager to try the Listerine Zero as I really like to use Listerine mouthwash, however cringe at the thought of that burning sensation it gives you, which literally brings tears to your eyes. This new mouthwash is great. It is the same easily recognizable Listerine bottle, in a pale bluey/green clear liquid. It smells like Listerine, it tastes like Listerine but without the explosion of intense heat in your mouth caused by the alcohol content, an ingredient this one doesn’t contain. Hallelujah! I love it and so does my hubby. It has a nice cool minty flavor which really freshens your breath and leaves your mouth feeling really clean. The inclusion of fluoride is excellent too, as it is also strengthening your teeth against decay. This is a definite winner in my books and I will certainly be purchasing this over the other Listerine varieties.

Refreshed mouth, no eye watering burniness

I know I should use mouth wash but it always hurts so much to use. I can never stand to gargle it for 5 seconds, let along the 30 seconds it tells you to do it for. I always end up with tears streaming down my face and a flood of drool pouring out of my mouth trying to wash away the burn!! Well those mouthwash nightmares have now come to an end thanks to the new Listerine Zero.

Listerine Zero claims to be less intense and it contains zero alcohol. Well the claims are true. I could easily gargle for the recommended 30 seconds. My eyes still water slightly and there is a tiny tingle in my mouth but it is not the unbearable pain I go through with other mouth washes.

I always brush my teeth first then gargled with this for 30 seconds, morning and night. It leaves my mouth feeling so refreshed and cool, my breath delightfully minty and my teeth smooth and clean feeling. The smoothness on my teeth lasts a good couple of hours.

When i use it in the morning the mintiness lasts about 30 mins in my mouth, however, at night when i use it just before I go to bed I have actually been finding that when I wake up in the middle of the night I can still taste it in my mouth - especially between my teeth and cheeks - it seems to linger there for hours. Its a bit of a shock to wake up in the middle of the night with a sweet minty taste in my mouth, and I dont overly like it, but this is designed to kill the bacteria that causes bad breath and plaque so hopefully it is still working even hours into the night.

The listerine I trialled came in a 500ml bottle with a cap that you can use as a cup for the mouth wash. This was super convenient as it meant that i didnt have to look around for something to use, or swig straight from the bottle! The bottle is flat with an indent around the middle making it really easy to grab and pour.

I have now been using this for nearly 2 weeks and I have noticed a definite decrease in furiness to my teeth during the day. I try to brush well but by morning tea my teeth often feel a little furry - this is now not occurring until after lunch so i reall do think that it is helping protect my teeth from plaque.

I have been very impressed with this mouthwash - especially as it doesn't burn the hell out of my mouth like other mouthwashes do yet hours later I m teeth and mouth still feel clean and refreshed. The only thing I didn't like about this was the lingering flavour in my mouth throughout the night, but i think that this is due to the fact that I use it immediately before bed and so dont swallow or produce saliva for hours to rinse it out. The fact that it is still ingering in my mouth means that it must still be protecting me from bacteria and I like that very much. I will definitely repurchase this mouthwash as it is the first mouthwash I have ever used that I have been able to gargle with for the recommended time without bawling my eyes out!

Burst of fresh Minty flavour

The colour of listerine zero is alot less green than other listerine mouth washes. When you first gargle it there is a burst of minty freshness. Then after ten seconds there is a warm refreshing burn in you mouth leaving you with fresh breath. My husband commented on how I smelt minty one morning. I found the taste pleasant. The scent was very strong

No more sting!

I was honoured to be part of the trial team for this new mouthwash from Listerine. I have been using Listerine for a while now and I must confess that it usually came with some dread. Without fail, gargling led to wincing at the bite of the mouthwash stinging my tongue. Also, I never thought to associate it with alcohol. I had always thought that it was because it was too minty. So when I received this bottle in the post, the first thing that stood out was that it said "Less Intense". For the first time, rinsing with mouthwash did not bring tears to my eyes. It still left me with a fresh minty taste but it was a lot milder than the regular stuff!

Minty Fresh!

Before trying Listerine Zero, I didn't use mouthwash unless I had an infection or ulcer that needed extra care. Since adding the minty mouthwash to my daily dental routine, my mouth has felt cleaner for longer, and my gums are in the best shape they have been for years. The absence of alcohol is a huge selling point for me, as long-term use of alcohol-based mouthwashes has been linked to oral cancers by some researchers. I also find the alcohol-based mouthwashes far too harsh on my oral mucosa, which is why I have previously avoided them. The taste of Zero is a clean, fresh mint, and that lovely fresh taste lasts overnight. Morning breath is a thing of the past since I started using Zero, which really surprised me. You only need to use a small amount and the bottle is enormous, so it will last the average user a long time. I've really enjoyed this trial, and plan to continue using Zero long-term as I'm so pleased with how healthy it makes my mouth feel.

Refresh my Breath

I like the colours and look of this product. The liquid itself is kind of aqua coloured and I like the clear bottle because you can see where you are up to and how you have left. The product tastes neither bitter nor sweet and doesn't taste awful. The instructions are simple and clear to follow and this was an effective product providing me with a cleaner, more refreshed breath. I would consider using Listerine Zero and would recommend it to others.

Refreshingly Fabulous!

I loooove this product! In the past I have avoided using mouthwash for the harsh taste in the mouth. Zero is fantastic as it doesn't have that alcohol taste in the mouth and it's lighter in texture. Also, once you've rinsed it out, your teeth feel super clean and your breath is fab! Love this product and will most definitely be buying more!

too sweet for me

I am a big fan of Listerine and a regular user as I like the refreshing feeling of a clean mouth, especially before bed. I love the aqua colour and clear packaging but Listerine Zero won't be a regular addition to my routine as I found the aftertaste very sweet, almost like having just had a softdrink. I much prefer the sharp tang of the more minty Listerines that leave my mouth feeling clean. Zero would be good for people who find that tang too strong. It's easy to use and I'm sure does the job it's meant to, however I like that feeling of bacteria being killed immediately by a strong product.

Very different

I am a massive fan of the milder taste, so will buy this again!
Compared to other Listerine brands, it feels like the protective film lasts a few hours longer. Plus there's no stinging and it smells nice and minty. Problem with this is that it's easier to swallow, compared to the alcohol products - maybe this could be a problem with children?

Lightweight Listerine

I trialed this new product for the trial team. This looks exactly like any other bottle of Listerine, The Zero alcohol content is very obvious and the colour is quite pale.
On initial smell the mint smells quite potent, however the taste is very mild, it is a gentle minty taste which leaves your mouth feeling very refreshed.
When rinsing and gargling you dont feel like you need to expel the liquid immediately and it is quite refreshing.

Awesome stuff!

A couple of years ago I read about a study that claimed to have found a link between mouthwashes with alcohol in them and throat/mouth cancer. It freaked me out enough to give up mouthwashes containing alcohol (though, ironically, not alcohol itself), and since then I've been using alcohol free alternatives. The problem is that many alcohol-free mouthwashes are - not to put too fine a point on it - rubbish. They don't make my mouth feel fresh enough and they don't have a lasting effect. I had eventually resorted to using the Listerine children's products, though I'm not keen on the sweet-ish taste.

For that reason I jumped at the opportunity to trial Listerine Zero. Like all mouthwashes you swish it around in your mouth after brushing your teeth and then spit it out. You only need about half a capful, so the big bottle will last a few weeks.

I found the main difference to be the lack of "burning" you sometimes get from standard mouthwashes - as much as I love the normal Listerine and used it for many years, I did always slightly dread that burning sensation, and it was particularly bad if I happened to have a mouth ulcer or a bitten tongue. Listerine Zero doesn't sting or burn at all, though you still get that bracing mint that makes your mouth feel clean and fresh.

I absolutely love this product, and I will definitely buy more when my bottle runs out. In fact, it's already on my shopping list. Two thumbs up!

Lasting Freshness

I was very excited but also very nervous about trialling a new mouthwash because in the past i have experienced bad reactions with certain mouthwashes, so i am happy to say that Listeine Zero is a winner.
I have been using Listerine morning and night and my mouth has never felt fresher or more clean. It is Aqua in colour, comes in 250ml, 500ml, 1L plastic bottles and the flavour is clean mint. I am using the 500ml bottle which is $8.39 and has lasted me almost two weeks which is great.
I love that it contains zero alcohol and that it is gentle and doesn't burn my mouth when i gargle. I will be replacing my current mouthwash with Listerine Zero and i recommend everyone gives this great product a try.

I'm Buying More!

This was unexpected! I didn't think I was going to like a mouthwash as much as I have with this one. I've used mouthwashes throughout my life from time to time before but I've never stuck with it for one reason or another. This one is different - I'm loving it!

The 500ml bottle is filled with a pastel aquamarine coloured minty liquid. It contains no alcohol and is nowhere near as intense as the usual mouthwashes on the market. I normally find mouthwashes really hurt my cheeks so I don't tend to use them but this one doesn't hurt! I can keep on using this one!

The best thing about for me is the result - my gums haven't felt so good for so long. This must be what I've been missing in my mouthcare routine. Since starting this a couple of weeks ago I've noticed a distinct improvement in my chronic tooth sensitivity along my gumline. In fact, straight after the first rinsing with this Listerine Zero I have found my gums felt dramatically better. I'm not letting this baby go! It's a stayer!!

I mentioned it and showed it to my hubby and 13 year old daughter and they had a 'go' of this mouthwash too and now I've found they also haven't wanted to stop using it either! So it will be a regular purchase for this household's shopping trolley.

Oh I forgot to mention that, besides my gums feeling better, my whole mouth freshness has given me more confidence when speaking close-up with people. Using it twice a day is easy (morning and night) and it feels fanstastic to know I'm improving the health of my teeth and gums - and breath.

The "Clean Mint" flavour is minty and fresh and not overpowering. It's pretty perfect actually! I'd highly recommend this mouthwash to those who already use a mouthwash and those who don't - I think everyone would love it and want to keep using it.

Gentle

The first thing that I noticed about this was that the eye watering sting was gone. The next thing was the flavour a nice pleasant mint taste that was not overpowering. There is juts enough mint in the flavour to make your breath fresh for most of the day but not enough to overpower everything you eat or drink later that day.

As I am a sucker for the colour when buying my beauty products that is another plus for this, one the nice Aqua is a very soothing colour.

I also love how easy it is to open not like other child proof lids that you spend more time opening than using.

Overall this is a fantastic product that will now become part of my regular routine.

Definite must have

I love using Listerine but have found them too strong. When I was asked to trial Listerine Zero I was very intrigued.
I liked that it had no alcohol and its easy to use.

When I used it the first time, I straight away loved the taste of it. Not very overpowering at all and I was able to keep it in my mouth for 30 seconds comfortably. I was able to rinse and gargle with ease. The taste is a great minty taste that doesn't burn. My teeth/mouth felt clean and nice.

I really like this and will definitely repurchase and keep in the bathroom at all times.

Listerine Zero Trial

I was sent this mouthwash as part of the trial team and so far I cant rave about it, but I dont have too many complaints either.
Packaging is the same standard as other listerine products, easily identifiable but easy enough to differentiate between this and other flavours/formulas in the range.
The child safety cap is the first thing I noticed about this product... and subsequently broke before trying the product in the bottle. I suppose safety seals are there for both consumer and the supplier but seem fairly redundant when they can be broken simply by twisting the cap with a little bit of force.
Next was opening the bottle - I didnt get that pungent minty burn smell that I get with regular blue listerine... much more mild but still some mint.
The taste was again reminiscent of regular listerine but milder and toned down.
To some people this may be a selling point, but i prefer the strong smell and taste of the original.
Actually using this mouthwash i noticed that it was much more gentle if i had any sensitivity than most other products which was great however I noticed that my mouth didnt feel quite as clean and fresh breath didnt last as long.
Overall Listerine Zero would be great if youre concerned about the alcohol content of regular listerine or prefer a milder mint taste.
May be worth making sure its still kept out of reach of little ones with its dodgy safety cap though and not great if you like that fresh clean sensation of regular alcohol based mouthwashes

So refreshing and gentle for sensitive teeth and gums!

Listerine Zero Trial Team

I am so excited to have had the chance to trial this product as part of my daily oral hygiene routine – I have very sensitive teeth and find normal Listerine can sting and irritate my mouth so when this (very generous!) full sized product arrived I was keen to find out whether this would be more suitable. The light aqua fluid was packaged beautifully and with an easy to use, childproof cap I found that I could pour just the right amount into the cap without the need for an extra glass.
I initially loved the mild mint flavour and how gentle its alcohol free formula was to use but the best results were noticed after two weeks’ consistent use. My mouth feels cleaner without that horrible furry tongue sensation in the mornings and when used in conjunction with my regular sensitive toothpaste, Listerine has made a big difference to my oral health. I no longer have inflammation/redness around my gums and my breath is so fresh! I have given this product a 4 as the only negative aspect I could find was that it was very hard to gargle with it – the formula foamed so much that this was practically impossible and therefore the period of time I could swirl it around in my mouth was somewhat limited (unlike the 30 seconds normally recommended for standard Listerine). Thank you BH for the opportunity to try this product!

OMG Wow

I'm one of those people who feels that mouthwash is a necessary evil. It usually stings and feels so hot in my mouth as I swirl it around so reallly I only ever have short bursts of it and not every day.

But with this Listerine Zero my mouth is shouting out with joy!!! Not only does it not really sting like the others it also tastes great. I'm now an every day user and so confident that my mouth will always be fresh, clean and free from those nasties.

A gentle clean mint taste

I really liked the easy to read packaging of Listerine Zero – the Zero Alcohol labelling really stood out and had me very intrigued.
The pale aqua colour is so pretty!
The gentle clean mint taste it’s not over powering at all; it’s like a piece of refreshing gum!
Rinsing and gaggling is pleasant and doesn’t have that awful burn factor like some mouthwash. Yet the fresh breath taste lingers nicely.
I’m definitely converted and this little beauty will become a star in our bathroom.

creating bubbles that i dont like

when i first received this product to trial i was unsure of what to expect. I do like to gargle after i have brushed my teeth, i believe it finishes off the brushing experience. I was quite interested in the alcohol free formula and how that would affect the experience. After a week of use, i can tell you that i am not a massive fan. I didnt like that it created bubbles in my mouth, that sensation i am not use to, although i did like the fresh taste, that it was not so intense like other listerines. Although i did like the final result and have found that maybe it is a product i could use if i got past the bubbly feeling.

My mouth is alive

I was using this one on holidays in New Zealand a few months ago. It's just like the old ones but it really does make you feel like your mouth is even cleaner and it doesn't feel like my mouth is on fire. I haven't seen it in my LOCAL supermarket but I live in a vey small suburb

So fresh without the punch!

I usually don't use mouthwash because it's too overpowering but this had all of the freshness without the "mouth explosion". It was so easy to use , tasted cool and minty, and the clean feeling lasted a few hours. An excellent finish after brushing and flossing. Will definitely keep using!

Zero me all day anyday!

Thanks BH for giving me the opportunity to trial this awesome mouthwash! I was amazed at the size of the bottle. I love the turquoise colour and the fact that you need to twist the bottle a certain way. Just so little kids or people who want to steal your mouthwash.. hehe When I first gargled the mouthwash I could feel the mintiness throughout my mouth. It felt like it was working its magic throughout..zapping all those germs and spots that I missed when I had brushed my teeth earlier. The size of the lid was a great indicator of how much I should use. When I spat it out, I could still taste the mintiness and that it was actually going to last in my mouth for while. I would definitely buy this product when it runs out.

Still too intense for me

Thank you to BH for asking me to trial this new product from Listerine. Listerine was very generous in providing the 500ml plastic bottle which is excellent value for money. I was very keen to try this new product given that it is alcohol free (which is always a positive for health care products) and has a less intense flavour than its original formula.

I have not used Listerine or any other mouthwashes for many years as I have never liked the flavour of mouthwashes. So I was very keen to try the new flavour especially as Listerine has such a good reputation in oral care. Unfortunately for me I found this product did not suit me at all.

The instructions states that you should use morning and evening after brushing and flossing. Rinse and gargle 20ml, undulated for 30 seconds and then expel the liquid. No eating or drinking for 30 minutes afterwards. I was surprised that the cap did not have an indication of what constitutes 20ml. I think it would be helpful if there was a guide or, alternatively, a measuring cup built into the cap. Nevertheless I used a measuring instrument to ensure I only used 20ml and followed all the instructions. I found the taste of the mouthwash to be extremely bitter with only a slight flavour of mint. The intensity was far too much for me. I had a nasty after taste lingering in my mouth for up to 2 hours after use and could only get rid of the after taste by drinking or eating. It felt like I had had some strong medicine and I even felt a little nauseous. Nonetheless, I persevered twice a day for a week and then had to stop using the product because I found it overwhelming.

I have no evidence to support Listerine's contention that it protects gums as my gums felt exactly the same as before I used the product. In terms of killing germs that cause bad breath and plaque, I can state that I did not have bad breath before using the product. With regard to plaque, I guess my dentist is the only person who can tell me whether plaque build up is less but I don't think that can be tested by a home trial. My oral hygiene has always been very good, according to my dentist.

Despite my dislike of the product I have given it 2 stars as it is good value for money and it does not contain alcohol. I will be interested to read other beauties' reviews to see if their experiences were similar or different to mine.
