Carefree Carrie is the Queen of devilishly disheveled locks – and we love her for it! Only the most stylish can successfully transform beach hair into tantalizingly tamed tresses. Want to recreate SJP's loveable locks? Here's how…
1. On washed hair apply a style foam (mousse) evenly throughout. Then, tip head upside down and blast dry with a blow-drier until hair is completely dry, this will put a grip on the hair and make the style last longer.
2. Turn on a medium sized curling iron and allow to heat up. Establish a middle parting and smooth out hair with your fingers. Divide the hair from ear to ear, pinning up the front section. Then, starting at the nape, take a section about 4-5cm sq and spray with a setting lotion.
3. Wrap hair around the curling iron winding the hair towards the face. When finished with that section, drop down the next section and do the same. Continue until you are at the top of the head.
4. On this last section, instead of winding the hair to the scalp, drop the wound hair 7cm in order to allow the hair to fall without too much height.
5. Repeat on the opposite side.
6. When you’ve finished the entire head, use your fingers to break up the curls and use a serum to put shine onto the hair. Finish with hairspray.
7. As the hair naturally drops out it will look even better
8. Go, grab yourself a Cosmopolitan and enjoy!!!!

its funny really cause she not really that pretty but everything about her is. and if she ever had sergury or something she would prob never get another gig again. i love her for that it makes you think that not just the blonde little perfect girls get all the best gigs.
i love her eyes tho they always look so sexy and smiley.

I love Carrie's ability to throw a look together and look fabulous! I occassionally let my hair dry naturally for beachy waves.

Great tips on Carrie-like hair. I might try this 'do' when I go see the movie tomorrow night. I can't wait.

I just wish my hair held a god curl. No matter what product I use it seems to drop after an hour or two.

I'm still trying to master applying my makeup properly! Getting my hair to look like SJP's would be a dream come true, if I could pull it off, I'm not the best hair stylist unfortunately...

I love it on the rare occassion when the stars and moon all align just perfectly and my hair does a natural dry that forms the purrfect beaches waves... the rest of the time it just dries fairly dead-straight... l

I think I need to break out the curling iron and give this one a shot... I have been a slave to the straightener for too long!

Thank god someone wrote up how to do hair like this... I paid a hairdresser to do it for me once for some fancy dinner and ended up with frizzy poodle hair. Grr. Now i might be able to do it myself. :)

would love to have this hair do but my air would not hold it long enough to last an hour or two, regardless of how much product is used. do love the style though...

Beautiful loose, carefree and timeless hairstyle. I wish I didnt get impatient all the time and get my hair cut shorter I'd love to wear this style.

I love the style. It's very luscious and romantic. I wear my hair in a slightly softer style from time to time, quite feminine and pretty.
