Catch some waves this summer

Straight hair beware. There’s a new style in town. Forget cutesy curls and bouncy blow-dries, this season it’s all about the tousled and the twisted. That’s right, the wavy, crumpled, ‘just-got-out-of-bed-and-I’m-still-hot’ hair look that’s sweeping the celebrity scene like a bad case of Bieber fever.

Take Charlize Theron for example, looking gorgeously glamorous in this vintage-inspired hair and make-up look. Too cute right? Yeah, we love it too. We love it even more since we’ve figured out how to do this exact hair ‘do at home (as well as a bunch of other beachy, tousled ‘dos!)

The secret lies in the VS Sassoon Wave Envy Styler – a ceramic barrelled heat styler that works as easily as pressing the plates over pieces of hair and watching the waves take shape.

The reason the Wave Envy Styler is such an asset to your hair styling hand-picks, is due to the Ceramic Technology™, which helps to distribute heat evenly for a more precise outcome when styling. Combine that with three variable heat settings and cool ends for easier manoeuvring and you’ve got yourself one super handy, easy-to-use styler that’s sure to make waves this summer.

Take the styler down your hair with tighter spacing for some perfectly pronounced waves, or keep it light with a soft press over larger pieces of hair and then brush it out if you want wispy waves like Charlize.

Win! Want a VS Sassoon Wave Envy Styler for yourself? No problems! We’ve got three to give away! For your chance to win, simply tell us in the comments section of this blog, which hairstyle you plan to rock most this summer?

Competition closes midnight 27th December 2011.

Just 'down' - it keeps the sun off my shoulders, neck and the sides of my face! I'll put it in a pony though if I'm going for a jog.

I love boho, beach-y type waves- plan on rocking those locks all summer long!

I really want to nail the beach tousled look - have been practising for awhile and hope it pays off on Friday night for my work xmas do! But I can never go past the old ponytail on really hot days - off the neck is best for the sweat!

I usually keep my hair up or down but this summer I might incorporate a few braids to add a bit boho vibe to my look. It’s easy breezy, simple and adds a bit of fun to my usual boring hairstyle!

this summer i will be rocking the high bun. practical enough to keep my neck cool yet stylish enough for work or a cocktail party.

I'll be creating my own waves by sleeping with damp hair and plaits! Sounds old-school but with the help of an anti-frizz serum , they waves i get are quite controlled and beachy! That'll be my technique but with the help of the wave envy, i'm sure i can spare myself the damp hair and the plaits-in-bed technique which kinda hurts my neck!

I'll definitely be rocking the no-fuss beach curls - fun and easy with the VS Sasoon wave envy syler ;) Ha ha, but either way - so easy.

The VS Sassoon wave envy styler sounds awesome! I will be rocking my own 'beach' waves that will be a lot less than perfect without that applicance! I let my hair dry naturally which gives it some waves but when I'm after a bit more I plait it while damp but that is always annoying, its uncomfortable and takes ages! And when the days are beautiful I don't have half a day to waste waiting for my hair to be ready!

I would so love to rock the beachy waves, however the curling wand I have is useless as I seem to be curling wand challenged. One of these little beauties would make my life so much easier. I love all things VS Sassoon!!!!!!

My hair this summer will be styled into quiffs, waves, dead straight hair (and fringe!), effortless up do's! Basically every hairstyle under the sun - I love variety!!!

I really don't have much choice especially when the humidity is high my natural kink comes alive its just needs that extra touch to give it a nice bouncy wave.

Im going for a multi-stage style this season. A double vine braid updo with a flower at the back, perfect for casual or dinner. Then the next morning I take them out and have the perfect tussled waves that is a completely different look for me than my usually straight hair and I have to say Im in love with it. Love trying new things!

I'm going to be rocking (or at least attempting to rock) the Kim Kardashian take on wavy hair - glossy and voluminous, sultry and sexy!

Hopefully a ballerina bun that looks effortless and natural... That is as opposed to all the work I'll be spending on it to get the look lol.

I'm not sure whether I'm exactly rocking it (probably not!), but I've had virtually the same hairstyle for the last 40 years - long and straight with a blunt fringe. I think I was born with this style, I've had it so long! So I could go with the same-old, but maybe this is the summer to wave boring goodbye and surprise everybody with a change!

Love the look that this creates :)
But I have been searching youtube and studying up on some vintage style glory rolls which I plan to rock all summer long. Very excited to be taken to another era

I'm planning to rock the 'just got out of bed' look! Most days, I'm too lazy to do anything with my hair, so I just roll out of bed and strategically mess up my hair, and voila! There you have it, a great natural, wavey hair do that took me just five minutes to do. Haha, I love being lazy.

I would love to try the soft, beachy waves but will probably end up with something more like - "I just got hit by a lightning bolt" hair has been very static lately :-/

Loosly curled with braids. One day I'll braid my fringe, the next I'll braid one side. Nice and easy :)
