Celebs in specs

If you’re as…err…’optically challenged’ as I am, you know just how important it is to have a good pair of glasses. And if you’re a contact lens wearer like me too, you’d also know that more often than not, those glasses are saved for lazy days spent at home.

Well, it seems like a slew of celebrities are starting to change that. They’re taking their glasses from the lounge room all the way to the red carpet, showing everyone that a pair of stylish specs can actually make a red carpet look edgier and a lot trendier.

So if you need some inspiration to make your glasses your next best accessory, check out our celebrity gallery of super-stylish spec lovers.

Win specs for your man! Great accessories can make a man. Thanks to a bold new range of masculine frames designed exclusively for Specsavers by acclaimed menswear designer, Jeff Banks, your man can now look even sharper! I love that people aren't afraid to wear their glasses. However, I don't enjoy seeing celebs or anyone for that matter wear glasses when they don't need them to improve their sight. I feel that they are trying too hard. My hubby wears contacts and glasses. I have no real preference on either. My husband is a very rugged, masculine and quiet type. I find that so sexy. He does not need to boast or pose for anyone. He is very sincere, kind, intelligent, and devilishly sexy.

I always have my glasses on when im not inside the house, its hard to see without them lol. I have a plain pair of black rectangular frames, i chose that so my glasses would go with anything. But it would be nice to get another pair.

I wouldn't change how caring my man is, even though it sometimes annoys me because hes always busy. Hes always off helping his friends or helping out charity with his church group. He puts others before himself, and he is very faithful. If he finds something that doesn't belong to him, he turns it in.

Guys seem to be able to pull off glasses better than women...Shenae and January are the only girls that look good with them to me. I'm a glasses wearer myself and I rarely go out in public with them these days...contacts all the way!!

I wouldn't change his heart! His is made of gold. You name it, he has the credentials for a really top guy: loyalty, kindness, caring, trustworthy, charitable, gentleness, loving, thoughtful (well to the best of his ability on that one!).

I have been wearing glasses for over 2 decades, and can unfortunately no longer wear contacts, they just irritate my eyes. I have 4 pairs, and usually buy new ones every year, they are like an accessory to me now, have taken a long time to get to that, but as I cant function without them, may as well make the most of them. And good to see the celebs now starting to wear them out for functions as well, and making it more in fashion to wear glasses, as long as they actually need them, I frustrates me when people not needing glasses wear them to look cool!!

As for my hubby - I seriously wouldnt change one tiny little thing - he has got the biggest heard, and is kind, caring and loving, and he would go to the end of the world and back for me - in fact he already has, when he a decade ago came to visit me in Europe on a complete surprise visit. He is all the family I have in OZ, and he does everything in his power to make sure that I am happy. I seriously struck gold when I met him, so much so that I left Europe and my family behind, just to be with him!

I remember how glasses were so uncool and now look, I still prefer not to have them as I would loose them all the time and I prefer to spend money on other things like beauty.
I would like my man to get a new wardrobe as he doesn't to like to go clothes shopping.

His 'Sense of Humour' ... he's the only person on EARTH that can have me in fits of laughter when I'm in a not so good mood ... even when I'm supposed to be angry at HIM! He's THE funniest person I know ... so LOVE my hubby ... and his being GORGEOUS helps too! lol. ♥

I would change the fact that my man can be a bit lazy, but I am sure all of us women share that problem at some stage with their man. My man doesnt wear specs either so good luck to all that enter for their men.

I would not not change my partners compassion for people. He is an extremely kind, caring man who would give anyone a hand at any time. He is also a very loyal and loving partner.......a great Dad, and he does'nt leave the toilet seat up......so what more could you possibly ask for?????

I wouldn't change aaaaanything about him. Nope, he's perfect. Great smile, eyes, sense of humour- so intelligent, adventurous, fun loving, enjoys the same music, movies and theatre as me. He's perfect in every, single way. Oh... wait... I guess I would change one thing, one teeeeny, tiny detail- nothing big. But it would be GREAT if he wasn't imaginary. But beggars can't be choosers!!

Love your spec pics. I didn't think Anne Hathaway did much for the specs cause but Shenae and Leona look amazing. And who wouldn't drool over Johnny and Ryan, with our without specs. Great looks.

Thoughfulness, humour and a willingness to kill and dispose of bugs are the traits I'll never get rid of in my man. Everything else I can cope with. Mostly...

I think glasses can make someone look really sexy. However, (and I hope I don't offend anyone), but I really hate when people wear those big nerd glasses, when they don't need specs to begin with. It probably sounds very nit-picky, but I just don't like it.

I love the look of people who wear glasses, they look so modern and specky. I love the big black frames that look like they just came from a 3d movie, it just looks so retro ;P

I think glasses suit everyone. I love Anne Hathaway's look in the pic above. She looks cool.

The one thing I would not change about my man is the fact that he loves me for who I am and tells me he loves me constantly even after 29 years together.

I wouldn't change the way he is with other people. He is very kind, polite and he never hurt people. I'm very proud of my hubby.
