Get the look: darlings of Down Under - page 2
It’s Australia Day week and what better way to celebrate than with a day off work and some makeup looks to master from our very own home-grown beauties? And don’t worry ladies, there’s one in here to keep your boys busy too so they won’t feel left out – now that’s what I call good Aussie spirit!
Pout that pops with Cate Blanchett
Makeup: Achieve Cate’s constantly radiant complexion by mixing in some Clinique Up-Lighting Liquid Illuminator with your foundation before smoothing it on (don’t forget to blend down your neck to avoid ‘pancake’ face!). Next, line your pout with Nutrimetics nc Perfecting Lip Pencil in Cranberry, softly blending it into your lips so it’s not too harsh, before slicking on a matching red lipstick. To ensure your pout remains the focus of your face, opt for mascara-only eyes and a light peachy-pink blush such as Bourjois Noveaux Blush in Lilas D’or.
Hair: Copy Cate’s subtly sexy up ‘do by curling random pieces of your hair with the VS Sassoon Ceramic Instant Heat Tong – 19mm. You can then opt for a roughly formed side or middle part (whichever suits you best) before loosely pinning your hair into a bun at the nape of your neck. Give your head a quick shake to allow some soft tendrils to fall out and finish with a misting of L’Oreal Professionel Elnett Satin Hairspray.
