LOVE this hack for getting the last bit of shampoo out of the bottle, beauties!
Not sure whether it’s a good idea to do it regularly to thin out the consistency of the product though… as bk. said, a little bit of water might be ok but I wouldn’t add too much – your hair might miss out on nourishing ingredients!
I also add water to get all the last bits out of the bottle.
But I think it depends on how much your adding. If it’s really watery I don’t think you’d get a great clean though.
If your shampoo is thick, don’t you just use a little less?
Like delta_storm, I always add water to get the last bit out. I take the lid off, pour in water from the shower, then put the lid back on & shake. I do this a few times, but I’ve usually got the next bottle of shampoo in the shower ready to start.
If I use a shampoo with a watery formula, it feels like it doesn’t clean my scalp well enough. My scalp is always extra itchy after using it. I seem to get a better clean with a shampoo that doesn’t have a watery consistency. Similarly, if I use a shampoo that has a pearlescent formula, I also get an extra itchy scalp. So I personally would not add water to a shampoo, but everyone’s scalp and hair is different.
I’ve always done this when using up the last little bits of my shampoo in a bottle. I’ve never found my hair to be worse on those times so I think it still cleans pretty well!
