Nic: what’s going on with your face?

We’re sure whoever made Kidman look as though she’d been busy baking cupcakes with Sunday Rose probably isn’t doing make-up – for anyone, anymore.

Kidman strutted down the red carpet at the recent Nine premier in New York, sporting this touch-up-gone-wrong. It seems her make-up artist was a bit hasty during the nose powdering and left the remnants of a violent dust dabbing smack bang in the middle of the Aussie beauty’s face. Not cool.

It’s my opinion that powder is probably not a great choice for rushed touch-ups such as these, for a number of reasons… A dark dress can become multi-toned when a dusting of the light stuff goes flying over your gown, it also needs blending in rather efficiently, and if not done properly, well – you can see what happens.

Kidman’s make-up artist should have opted for a light, compact foundation instead, something like SKII Skin Signature Cream-in Foundation Compact would be perfect as the added moisturising cream ensures instant radiance to the skin.

If it was a touch of the shines that made Kidman require a puff of powder, then the simple answer is Sheer Cover Blotting Papers – the oil-absorbing rice papers would have been a godsend amongst all the hot, flashing lights.

What beauty saviour would ensure you’re red-carpet ready?
