This prestigious Japanese skincare brand incorporates Pitera®, a natural ingredient unique to SK-II products. This key ingredient helps restore the skin's natural 28-day renewal cycle, where old skin cells are replaced with new ones resulting in radiant skin. The products line incorporates essential daily skincare as well as anti-ageing and firming products.The miracle behind SK-II was discovered at a sake brewery in Japan. The workers there had wrinkled faces but unusually soft and youthful hands. The hands were in constant contact with the sake fermentation process.
It took five years of research for scientists to discover how to isolate the clear liquid formed during the fermentation process. They called this new ingredient Pitera.
